Lolas Villa El Nido

I’ve rated the property a 4 for ‘disappointing’ which may seem harsh however for the price point that Lolas villas are charging I expected a lot more.

There is no drinking water available which for an £80 a night room you would expect. There isn’t a fridge in the room to then keep your own drinks cool, just a shared fridge you can use that gets locked at night which made it awkward.

I booked it in part for the pool and the sun lounger area and was so disappointed when we arrived. There is construction going on, but the raw materials are at the front of the property near where you would be relaxing which really takes you out of the ‘luxury’ feel - and we were not warned about this ahead of time.
I had also seen at least 4 sunloungers, couple of bean bags and some deck chairs around the pool in the photos. When we arrived there was only the two bean bags for all four villas. When I asked where they were the host said they had all broken - again disappointing.

The messages clearly state that a daily cleaning service would be done, however this was not done in our case. When I raised it with the host I was told that I had to ask for this - which wasn’t explain to us on check in nor did the messages describe this. Again for the £80 price point it was disappointing.

The coffee for breakfast was either instant or filter, which the hosts seemed reluctant to sort out for guests.

Also every time we showered the power would continuously go out. In their messages before they describe they have solar power and a back up generator to not disrupt guests. I understand we are on an island and that power outages are common, but we have stayed in budget accommodation up til this point and not had any issues with power or showering - again the price point does not reflect the service.

The sink was also coming off from the wall and needed fixing.

Lit un peu petit :) manque un frigo. Pas de toilettes au niveau de l’accueil si chambre indisponible

La veille au soir de notre arrivée. Nous avons reçu un message de leur part nous indiquant quils ne pouvaient pas nous recevoir (réservation faites depuis plusieurs mois). Probablement dû au surbooking. Ils nous proposent alors de passer la nuit dans un autre hôtel (complètement médiocre, loin de tout et absolument pas confort) ainsi qu'en compensation à LEUR annulation 24h de location de scooter. Nous demandons plutôt un remboursement pour l'hôtel, et en arrivant ils nous disent que du coup la compensation pour la moto n'est pas valable puisque nous avons choisi un autre hôtel. Personnel très meprisant avec nous, nous lui repondont que nous sommes déçu il nous dit que si nous ne sommes pas contente nous pouvons annuler tout le séjour. Donc excepté la beauté de l'hôtel il n'y a vraiment rien d'interessant.
Sachez également que vous devez louer une moto pour tout votre séjour pour allez en ville manger etc.. car il se situe dans un endroit où il n'y a RIEN et à 15min de la ville en scooter. Ou bien payer à chaque fois un tuktuk 600 pesos allez-retour. Bref si vous n'avez pas peur d'une annulation de derniere minute et d'être loin de tout allez y.

Not so nice located, the way to the villas is not paved

L’hôtel est assez loin du centre (10mn en tuktuk qui vous coûtera entre 250 et 300php l’aller). Pas de service de laundry mais il y en a plusieurs à proximité.
