Excellent venue, good value and convenient for visiting Oxford.
Pros:

My first visit to Abingdon, the hotel location by the Thames is fabulous.

Cons:

Having to park in the public parking area, I had to pay £2 to park unto 10-00am. This was not indicated at the booking stage.

Pros:

The grounds were gorgeous, the room was comfortable - I went on a very hot day and they did their best to provide fans. The breakfast was great and staff were friendly and helpful.

Lovely quiet place to stay to allow visits to busy Oxford and travel in on the bus.
Pros:

Quiet location. Lovely garden and view across the river. Very helpful staff.

Cons:

The Orchard suite where we stayed was too hot ( it was during the June heatwave 2026) The fan supplied by the hotel helped to keep the room bearable

The grounds are stunning, room was nice even though the on suite was a funny lay out, steps from the room,along a small corridor and a few more steps down to the bathroom!!

Cons:

We stayed during a mini heat wave at the end of June, the duvet was a 10.5 weight !!!! A winter duvet in June.

Pleasant rural and comfortable stay
Pros:

Nice place, very close to the Thames for walking and to Abingdon center for restaurants, etc. Nice breakfast overlooking de garden and the river. Nice Sunday roast
