Worth returning to
Pros:

The gardens were beautiful and the receptionist was really lovely and helpful
It's really well situated in abingdon also

Cons:

The only small thing I did not like were the scrambled eggs but the rest of the breakfast was lovely and I'd stay again

Great location, nice heritage listed building, breakfast food good but service could have been better, reasonable value,
Pros:

The location is gorgeous, and the heritage house was lovely in the public areas. Reasonable price for a small single room with breakfast included.

Cons:

No a/c in the room, and the windows only opened a little way, so it was very stuffy in my room after a warm day. The buffet breakfast had all the expected offerings but on the Sunday at least, there were a lot of guests eating and the staff weren’t keeping up with topping up items. So we had to wait for more scrambled eggs and by the time that tray was refilled, there were no more baked beans. Plus they totally ran out of granola. And I understand that there were no lifts because the building has been heritage listed, but it was hard lugging baggage up the rabbit warren stairs and corridor (and no help from staff was offered).

Tranquil setting and exceptionally nice rooms. Breakfast basic but staff charming and attentive.
Pros:

Beautiful setting. The staff were friendly and allowed us to take a blow up bed as did not want to share a double. They provided extra bedding. Bath and shower good. Tea, coffee and TV. Felt safe and. Comfortable. Watched squirrels, different birds and water birds from close up. Enjoyed the closeness of nature. The bridge to access our room was quaint and the water full of yellow Lily pads.

Cons:

Very busy Saturday and Sunday breakfast. Too many guests at once. Running low on food and waiting for half of breakfast. I prefer my mushrooms and tomatoes hotter but poached eggs were lovely. Staff seemed under pressure though did their utmost. It’s not difficult to work out that more staff were needed.

Good location and reasonable price
Pros:

The location of the property is great, not least as its gardens run down to the Thames. Staff were generally very helpful and accommodating. Adequate parking on site, and generally quiet environment.

Cons:

The rooms were adequate, if somewhat on the small side, including tiny bathroom and shower. Only one side table on the double bed, but given the heat the hotel did provide a fan for the room. Concerns generally from a number of guests regarding the lack of sufficient breakfast choices

Schönes idyllisches Hotel im Landhausstil
Pros:
