Location was lovely. Really peaceful and quiet. Great location to the shops and restaurant.
Booked a family room which was double bed and sofa bed. For a 5* hotel, I was surprised that the 'sofa bed' was actually a mattress directly placed on the floor.
Cooked breakfast items weren't very fresh either.

Idyllic. Small car park. All staff were lovely. In town, but peaceful.
There was a rumbling sound that disturbed my sleep and I had to move rooms, but the staff were so supportive and helpful. I would definitely return.

Room was rather sparse
Beautiful location and grounds, right next to the river. Easy check in and parking. Clean, simple rooms - a little basic but fine for a one-night stay. The location of the main house was definitely the draw here and we'd return for that alone.
The rooms were clean and as advertised but felt a little spartan, particularly the bathroom. We stayed in one of the annexes and it definitely had a conference hotel feel to it, rather than a room you'd like to hang around in.

Menu very poor,bar area not staffed,had to go looking for someone for a drink.Breakfast ok,but items ,sausage,bacon etc,cold(2 HR ruling????)....Bin needed for empty cereal boxes .

Although the new section was very nice, some early risers (5:00 am) were quite noisily opening and closing the numerous doors along the corridors, maybe due to their strong springs. Not helpful if you are a light sleeper

No air-con , the rooms were stifling even though fans were provided which made it uncomfortable to sleep .
