Great location, large rooms, excellent view, but they serve only vegetarian food. Hard to book restaurants in the area
Pros:

We liked the location. The room was large with an excellent view. Parking was easy just in the front of the hotel.

Cons:

1) We didn’t like the food options. Everything in the hotel restaurant was vegetarian and it’s not easy to book dinner in Maloja. We found a restaurant in Sils Maria.
2) The phone in the room was not working.
3) We found some big pocket of dust in the room, not pleasant to see.

For the rest it was good, I think they only need to improve the servicing. The building in itself is great and the rooms are large. Furniture in the room is pretty old but not an issue, the bed is stable and solid.

Ancien grand hotel plein de charme, vestige d'une histoire prestigieuse, très beau bâtiment intérieur et extérieur, avec jardin d'hiver, chambre confortable, ascenseur, pour ceux qui skient piste de ski de fond aux pieds de l'hotel, très proche d'un lac, parfait pour les randonnées aussi, parking juste devant l'hôtel, terrasse panorama magnifique, vue sur les montagnes de n'importe quelle chambre au vu de l'emplacement et de la structure de l'hotel

Cons:

possibilité de restauration sur place, mais un peu cher et désertique (restaurant uniquement végétarien pour info, ça nous a quand même dépanné car nous ne voulions plus monter dans la voiture), petit déjeuner déserté aussi, où allaient manger les clients ? Il faut sans doute prendre la voiture pour aller manger ailleurs, un peu plus loin du coup, car a Maloja il n'y a pas grand chose

Lovely easy stay, very friendly staff
Pros:

Very beautiful historical hotel. The room was spacious and had a beautiful view. The bathroom was renovated and in very good condition.

Cons:

The only thing is, Two sockets where the night lamps where plugged did mot function.

La posizione è l'unico punto a favore di questa storica struttura. Ristrutturato nel 2009 ma i suoi 140 anni si vedono tutti

Architektur vs. Gastronomie, ob Amadeo damit glücklich wird?
Pros:

Das Haus an sich als altes historisches Gebäude. Die Dokumentation der Geschichte zum Haus auf den Gängen. Die Präsenz der Representativen Räume beim Empfang und v.a. des Stiegenaufganges.
Anregung:
Der aktuelle Besitzer wird sich mehr Gedanken machen müssen, wie er Menschen dazu bringt nach Maloja zu reisen und bei ihm Quartier zu nehmen. (Kostenfreier Tipp: eine TV-Serie im Stil von Dowton Abbey oder ähnlichem - wo die Location wichtig ist - wär da schon eine zeitgemäße Möglichkeit. Die Entstehungsgeschichte und der Krimi um die tote Gräfin de Renesse würde sich z.B. trefflich dafür eignen) Die gegenwärtige Stiegengalerie als Zusatz zu den historischen Bildern ist ein netter Versuch aber sicher zu wenig, um dem Haus Leben einzuhauchen.

Cons:

Frühstück: Die Art der Präsentation (verliert sich in einem riesigen Saal, der mit Antiquitäten angefüllt ist. Leider ist keine einzige der vorhandenen alten Uhren im Stande die aktuelle Zeit an zu zeigen. Das läßt hier eher den Schluß zu, dass die Zeit hier einfach stehen geblieben ist, was widerrum mit der CO2-Neutralitätsanpreisung eine seltsame Mischung ergibt. ) und der eher ärmliche Inhalt desselbigen.
Keine zum Ambiente passenden Gastronomischen Angebote für den Loungebereich (ein Automat für Cafe und Getränke in einem hinteren Gangbereich ist für uns keine Alternative) Dürftigste Austattung im Personellen. Zuwendungsfähigkeit des Rezeptionspersonal ist im Gegensatz zum Zimmeraufbereitungspersonal noch ausbaufähig.
Bad: Duschmöglichkeit in der Badewanne ohne Spritzschutzvorhang und völlig unergonomischer Zugang zu dieser.
Zimmerausstattung: Schranksafe in der Funktion nichtmehr satisfaktionsfähig. Ablageflächen ausbaufähig.
Auf Grund des eklatanten Missverhältnisses zwischen Raumangebot und Kundenfrequenz hatten wir mehrfach das Gefühl in Stanley Kubricks Shining gelandet zu sein.
