Basic accommodation in a great location
Pros:

In all honesty when we arrived we thought we might find something else before we even checked in. But we stayed the first night, we got comfortable and stayed two more nights.
It’s definitely not a resort as the name implies, it’s a very simple homestay.
We really loved the position and Sigiriya is a beautiful place. It’s an easy walk to plenty of restaurants, laundry, shops and tour operators.

Cons:

Having separate top sheets might be an issue for some.
The bathroom could do with a bit of an update.

amazing family run hostel in the mostly undeveloped surroundings of sigiriya and ~1km. comfortable beds, mosquito nets and towels/soap which was enough for our two nights. lovely breakfast in the morning. Sithu also helped us arrange a trip to polunawaru with bikes at a great value as well as our tuktuk to dambulla

Wonderful 2 nights in Sigiriya, close to everything and quiet :)
Pros:

Lovely family, super kind and welcoming.
Location is within 3 minutes walking distance of many restaurants and cafe.
Very comfortable bed, AC working well in the single room I booked, hot water for shower, very calm location to sleep well.

Cons:

All was fine :)

Quiet and comfortable stay in Sigiriya
Pros:

Horizon was by far one of our favorite accommodations in Sri Lanka. We are 2 friends and booked a quadruple bedroom, with two big double beds.
The room was spacious and so was the private bathroom, which had an excellent shower with hot water. Everything impeccably clean. Breakfast was good and the family who owns the place are very friendly people. Short distance to town. WiFi wasn’t the best but that’s very common around here. Would stay again.

Très bon endroit pour dormir, le fils de l’hôte nous a beaucoup été, il nous a commandé un tuktuk pour aller au rocher du lion pour 5h du matin et a été très serviable ! Je recommande !

Pros:

This was a very comfortable stay. Located in a convenient location near the main road and restaurants. The family who run this homestay are very friendly - the breakfast we had was exceptional and very generous. The room was very clean and the shower was fantastic. I highly recommend this affordable stay to anyone.

Pros:

I booked the dorm room at Horizon and it was very comfortable. This is a small guest house where I had lovely chats with the owners children and tasty simple breakfasts. It's centrally located near restaurants and shops in charming Sigiriya. Very clean and tidy, great value!

Simple but good and clean. Walking distance to key sites.
Pros:

Staff were friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was included and staff cooked a simple but delicious breakfast to order at whatever time you wanted.

Cons:

Numerous power outages but really out of the hands of the residence and as a result of weather and monkeys :)
