Breakfast was excellent, cooked to order.
Setting was outstanding, panoramic views and silence - a proper country hotel.
Staff welcoming.
Some decor was a little tired (but historic building) and bathroom shower, though clean, needed attention, eg regrouting, removal of some discolouration.
The grounds
The staff were lovely but so under staffed.
Food was not good, 7 people for dinner and only two ate a full meal.
Beautiful location once we arrived. Check in very good.
The road into the hotel is horrendous with potholes. Severely understaffed. Food was poor and service very slow.
Staff very good and very helpful, went out of their way in everything. Food was great, The Steak was wonderful. and my Salmon dish was delicious.
For me, the corridors upstairs were a little tired and needed cheering up. Our room was of good size and perfectly acceptable. The garden was lovely, but the furniture also needed some cushions.

The hotel is in a beautiful peaceful location with exceptional views across the open countryside and has a lovely garden with plenty of seating. The meal I had was excellent.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Be aware that this property doesn’t have a lift.
The accommodation is good although the decor is now looking very tired.

Fantastische ervaring! Het prachtige domein, de mooie kamer, de rust en het schitterende uitzicht maakten ons verblijf onvergetelijk. Hoewel de tocht naar het hotel als buitenlander wat uitdagend was, was het absoluut de moeite waard. Een extra pluim voor het personeel: van de nachtwacht tot het keukenteam, iedereen was uitzonderlijk vriendelijk, professioneel en behulpzaam. Een echte aanrader! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
