Had promise but fell shirt
Pros:

The staff were so friendly and welcoming.

Cons:

The property is very tired, and could do with a rethink, the shower was weak, the rooms not very well sound proofed and the carpets grubby

Great location, great staff, a gem of a find.
Pros:

In a beautiful setting, fabulous views and far away from the madding crowd! Bedrooms were spotless as were the public areas. Staff, friendly, helpful and professional.

Comfortable very dog friendly hotel with really lovely staff.
Pros:

Brilliant for our labradoodle. The staff loved her and gave her lots of treats and praise. She was treated like a member of our family... not an outsider. There were areas we could take her and sit down for a meal. The staff were really lovely and helpful and as we had a blue badge we could park right outside reception. Our family were placed in rooms opposite each other, which was really nice.

Cons:

Quite bad drain smells in the corridors and bedrooms, there is obviously a drain problem and this needs sorting. Our bedroom smelled a bit like feet and wet dogs - the carpet could do with a really good clean and some odour eliminator and air fresheners would not go amiss.

Cons:

The dinner was appalling, one of the worst meals I have had. I also got knocked over by a dogin the hotel grounds but it seems it belonged to a neighbour.

Pros:

The property is located close enough to the motorway. The room was big enough and the bathroom newly refurbished. I had dinner in the restaurant, and the burger was excellent. It was a very pleasant stay for 1 night.

Cons:

The only thing I didn't like were the big potholes on the way. But other than that, no negative comments to post.

Love it.
Pros:

We love the location. Such beautiful gardens & stunning views. Bathroom nice & newly modernised. The staff were really obliging as we got lost & arrived after the last orders for meals but they made allowances & still fed us! Good food & large dining area & a courtyard where you can eat outside on a nice evening.

Decor a little dated but adds to the character!

The road in is awful with big holes in the road
No staff available , we couldn't get the tv to work and no one was about , we phoned reception and never got an answer , we did even leave a message but no one ever helped so we never used it unfortunately
