A great stay, nothing too much trouble - we’ll be back!
Pros:

Great place to stay. Very comfy bed. Staff were really friendly. Breakfast was fantastic. Great quality and more than we could eat. I’d definitely recommend. Bathroom was especially luxurious, we really enjoyed our stay. Dinner in the restaurant was great too and well worth the money. I’m sure we will be back next time we are in the area.

Cons:

Nothing much to complain about I can think of - the bed in the suite had a bit of roll together but very comfy.

GREAT STAFF, comfortable stay
Pros:

Last-minute booking, prior to staying in York. The bedroom was comfortable, with everything you'd expect. The pub interior is well-designed, but the staff were exceptional. Good food at affordable prices turned a wet and dreary day into a pleasure. This pub has the feel of a proper village hub. We were away straight after a good breakfast, so no time to explore what looks like an interesting village.

Cons:

Can't do much with a view of the car park from the outside bedrooms, but the covered walkway to the interior of the pub ensured the lack of a view didn't detract from a good overnight stay
