Chantry Suites by SA Stays

Clean and tidy room in a serviced house with an en suite shower room. Comfy bed, TV, chest of drawers svd a cupboard but no chair or table/desk so had to use my laptop as a laptop which is not ideal when you have done work to do. Good WiFi. No kettle in the room but well equipped shared kitchen downstairs. So, a little Spartan but certainly adequate and uncluttered room. Only a short walk from the town centre and a Wetherspoons so really did not need to cook anything. Overall comfortable svd excellent value for money

Chantry is a truly welcoming and comfortable place. From the moment you arrive, the staff make you feel at home with their kindness and professionalism. The atmosphere is warm and homely, yet everything is run with great care and attention to detail.
What really stands out is the genuine compassion and respect shown by the team — nothing is ever too much trouble, and you can tell they really care about the people they look after.

It’s clear that Chantry Lodge goes above and beyond to provide not just accommodation, but a safe, supportive, and friendly environment. I couldn’t recommend it more highly.

Comfortable accommodation. The bed was very comfortable, with all the essentials in the room; wardrobe, drawers, mirror, tv’s, bed side table. Door was lockable from the inside - good safety feature.

Kitchen was clean - i met the cleaner a couple of times, and she was always more than happy to help with any concerns, and showed me that there was food (frozen food and cereal) that everyone could help themselves to.


Close to the town centre and transport routes - approximate 5 min walk from train station. I found a Lidl, a 10 minute walk away. So all within a good location, which felt safe.

Very tidy and neat place just like in the pictures. I enjoyed my stay like I was on vacation.

I never recived the email with details of how to get into the property I had to call up to receive the codes to access the property. When we got in and looked around, can see that the building has had a lot of leaks previously as there are bad water marks and stains all over the walls.

Shared kitchen facilities stayed clean for all of 30 mins on arrival.
This is more like uni accommodation. I would not stay in a place like this again. The description was quite misleading, and is by no way to the standard that they are advertising.

Being Disabled. I found it difficult to get Up the. Stairs, as they're quite Steep.
The property Was Good, and it was close to town.
The Room Was generally Clean. Although the toilet had a Strange Smell in it. But I bought some Bleach, and it Cleared Overnight. But I think that this is Due to the toilets positioning, and that there's No window.the riom was big enough, and the Bed was Really Comfy. The Room could have benefitted from a Chir, or Small Sofa, as it's Not Comfy to Sit on the bed.
The Shared Kitchen Facilities were Adequate, but Again, a bit Dated. As a Chef, I am Particularly Fussy with Hygiene and this Needs Sorting. Cutlery was Old, and Worn. I think maybe guest's had Used some of the Forks in the Garden.
Maybe if Each Room had their Own Crockery, it Would be advantageous.
Overall. I Would Still Give this Property 5*s, as it has Great Customer Service,band the Hostis Open, and Helpful.
My Stay was Comfortable, but I Wasn't AMUSED by the Selfish behaviour of the people in Room 5, Who Kept Me Awake 2bNights in a Row with their NOISE. AGAIN. I Can't blame this on the Property.
Overall. Guests Will Enjoy their Stay.n and be Close to the town centre, and Amenities.
I Would Stay here AGAIN. And apart from a Few Niggles. I Would Recommend CHANTRY SUITES.
