Was like meeting old friends in comfort and sit down for superb dinner!
Pros:

We were welcomed with typical rural SA warmth! It was no hassle to check in. The bar/ dining room is where travelers get together and we chat- informal, sharing best experiences. Food is served onsite - which is super comfortable and both dinner and breakfast was delicious. It was a wonderful stay!

A repeat stay in a hotel that advertises a 'work in progress', adequate and as expected.
Pros:

Location along main road is good for a traveller. Dinner main course was good and breakfast adequate. Reception very welcoming and helpful.

Cons:

Our room was unheated and there was a problem with water supply initially, though soon fixed. Very basic and somewhat cramped room.

A welcome break in a beautiful part of our country, meeting wonderful new people
Pros:

The location was the perfect spot for an overnight stay, although now I would like to spend a few more nights. Accommodation was made for our late arrival, and we were served a most delicious meal. Really enjoyed meeting the wonderful owners, Werner, Bernadett and Michael. We were also packed a breakfast meal as we needed an early departure. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and decor of the hotel too.

Cons:

I did not see a hairdryer in the room, but it was far too early for me to ask for one

Pros:

The quirkiest accommodation we have ever stayed at. Difficult to describe the old worldly charm. The hosts (Bernadette and Werner) were super friendly and welcoming. Lovely to hear the history of the hotel from them. Wishing them everything of the best with the alterations and plans especially with the recent floods which closed Meiringspoort having such an effect on the town.

Pros:

Loved our stay there, room had everything we needed and breakfast was yummy. The hotel Owners were an amazing couple and we really enjoyed our time interacting with them and appreciated them suggesting places in De Rust we should visit.

Cons:

No dislikes - was a fun hotel away from the norms.
