Pros:

Liked the location on the bus route into St. Andrews. The double bed was very comfortable. The heating in our room was excellent and nice to have access to a kitchen.

Cons:

Shared a bathroom, my choice, which was clean but I didn't like the fact there was no heating. A toilet which was not separate from the bathroom which is important when sharing .
No chairs anywhere: bedroom, bathroom or kitchen.
No heat in the kitchen.

A Good Stay Overall
Pros:

Proximity to St. Andrews. Good value and very friendly, helpful staff

Cons:

Only one thing really needs attention. I was in rm 7 across from the pub. The bathroom sink does not have a P-trap? Sewer gases freely flow into the space?? Not sure if this is acceptable by UK building code for a hotel but it should definitely be fixed. I reported the problem to the maid and took my own measures to mitigate the odor.

It is mostly a Pub and not that much an hotel
Pros:

Convenient location between highlands and Edinburgh. Free parking space.

Cons:

There is a pub in the ground level playing music in high volumes. They turned the volume down a bit when asked but it did not much help. I was traveling with my family, but this is not a suitable place for kids. The room was tolerable but I could not rest enough to drive on the next morning because of the loud sounds and pub customers being loud. Toilet had a bad sewage smell.

Schneller und freundlicher Zugang über den unten liegenden Pub. Es gibt eine Küche

der Preis hat uns halt überzeugt da es na an st. Andrews liegt und der Preis für die Unterkunft echt ok war. Entsprechend war es das aber auch. Schimmel an dem Fenster und Im Bad. Das Zimmer war im Oktober nicht beheizt, so dass wir 16 Grad nur hatten. Die E-Heizung brauchte eine Weile das auszugleichen. Matratzen fühlten sich durchgelegen an.Ein Fenster liesst sich nicht ganzschliessen so dass die Geräusche von den beiden Strassen noch lauter war. Kurzum um im Sommer zu pennen und dann nach St. Andrews rein ist das ok, aber sonst eher grenzwertig.

Scelta perché si passaggio verso Edimburgo.
Parcheggio ampio, wifi ottimo.
La cucina, in comune, era attrezzata e permette di cucinare.
Il sottostante pub ci ha permesso di conoscere gente del posto molto cordiale.
Il gestore del pun è simpatico.

Cons:

Il bagno esterno è piuttosto lontano dalla camera e la gente che lo utilizza talvolta non ha il buon senso di pulire.
La camera si affaccia sulla strada, quindi si avverte un po' di traffico.

Convenient to St. Andrews and a great value for money
Pros:

Ye Olde Hotel is a traditional pub with rooms to rent. We booked the room with a private bathroom and it was spacious and spotlessly clean. It was amusing that the entry is directly off the street. We checked in at the bar, the guy was pleasant and helpful, explaining everything. Bed was very comfortable and the bathroom nice.

Cons:

As some noted, the room can be a bit noisy, with its location on an intersection but we still had a comfortable good night sleep, the traffic at night was almost non-existent.

Excellent value, handy for St Andrews
Pros:

Really enjoyed our family's stay here. We booked for 2 adults and our 14 year old son, we had planned a trip to St Andrews and an overnight stay, but we waited to see how the weather looked so by the time we booked there were only a couple of suitable places for the 3 of us in St Andrews for over £240 a night, or this hotel for just over £90. It was about 10 min drive from St Andrews centre, and has a large car park. We checked in at the bar, the young guy working there was really friendly and took us up to our room. There was a kitchen on the way for use by guests which has a washing machine. We had the Junior Suite on the top floor, which was 2 rooms and a bathroom with a connecting hallway. The 2 double beds were really comfy (firm mattresses), there were 2 big tellies, and everything was spotlessly clean. The bathroom looked recently redone, and for the money we paid it was amazing, and we'd stay there again if we're back in the area. I don't think there was a breakfast option, we went to a pub in St Andrews, there were plenty of options there.
