Freezing cold couldn’t get the heating to work
Lot of noise in the walls sounds like rodents but not in the room
Very noisy with traffic
Kitchen you had to go outside around the corner use fob to get in and upstairs
Tea coffee and kettle in room one sachet off milk no cups or spoon
We had to be there by 23.00 we got there at 10.50 all locked up so had to phone to get a code to get in our room couldn’t get a cuppa till we drove 12 miles to get cups and milk

Some room for improvements to make this place a great destination (our stay was during winter time- on our way to St Andrews)
1) 🚬 smoking smell inside the room ; no ventilation for fresh air
2) extremely cold bathroom as no heater ;
3)the level of height at which shower ; hanger for clothes were installed, - unreachable if you are not tall enough
4)Extremely cold breeze coming from under the door due to huge gaps;
5)faulty doors as if it was uncomfortable to make sure if room was locked properly during the night time;

Room was right by front door & draughty
En-suite had sewer smell which seeped into room if door left open
TV was far too high

C’è stata assegnata la camera al piano terra, sulla strada. È stato difficile dormire perché gli infissi non isolavano la stanza ed il rumore delle macchine era fortissimo. Ma la cosa peggiore è stato il terribile odore che c’era nella stanza

Despite being a family room there was almost no storage. No wardrobe, just a few shelves and a bedside cabinet. The room and more so the bathroom smelled of damp and dirty drains. The smell was clearly long standing as it had permeated the bedding and mattress. The room was off the main entrance to the bar and unsurprisingly was very noisy. We had been by staff that the pub closed at 12:00 so we weren't expecting to get any sleep before then - fine. However the music and din from the bar continued until 1:30am and was so loud in that room it was impossible to get any sleep. This was then compounded by a full on shouting match in the car park between some drunken regulars who had been ejected and the staff. I got the impression this was not a one off occurrence.

3 flights of stairs difficult for my wife.

Nothing to remark, met our expectations in that it was very affordable and the staff members were friendly.

La proximité du bar: nous étions dans la chambre au rez de chaussé avec la porte du bar juste en face c'est assez bruyant surtout que certains clients discutent devant la porte, c'est dommage il suffirait qu'il y ait une entrée spécifique pour le bar.
Difficile de trouver de quoi faire un petit déjeuner à proximité

While we were there the weather was very cold and although the room was nice and toasty the bathroom was freezing. It also had an unpleasant drain smell, which needs addressing .As others have said, there was a lot of noise from the pub but we were expecting that. We didn't notice any traffic noise (we stayed on a Friday night). The emergency light in the room meant the room wasn't properly dark at night. As a result, I found it hard to sleep but it didn't bother my companions.
