Pros:

единственный минус - это дорого к отели по пляжу, почему-то этот участок пляжа не убирается совсем, почему бы собственникам близлежащих кафе, отелей и гостевых домов не собраться и не очистить этот участок пляжа.

Pros:

ended up booking MJ Boutique Hotel as a last-minute decision after extending my holiday by five days, and overall it was a bit of a mixed experience.

The good points:
On arrival, I was warmly welcomed by a lady I assumed to be the owner. I was immediately offered a refreshing ice-cold orange juice during check-in, which was a really nice touch after travelling. I decided to pay a little extra for a sea view room, and I’m very glad I did.

Once checked in, she kindly helped carry one of my bags and personally showed me to my room. The room itself was excellent—clearly recently renovated, very clean, and finished to a high standard. The balcony overlooking the sea was a real highlight and made the stay feel extra special.

Shortly after arriving, I needed to head out to arrange some diving. She was very helpful and quickly organised a taxi for me, including a stop at a cash machine on the way, which made things much easier.

Another standout moment was at check-out. Official check-out time is 12:00, and I came down around 12:15 with my bags as my taxi wasn’t until 5pm. When I asked if I could leave my luggage at reception, she very kindly offered to let me keep the room until 4pm at no extra charge. That was a really thoughtful gesture and very much appreciated.

Breakfast was also good, with a freshly cooked option each morning. However, it’s served between 8:00–10:00, which could be a downside if you have early trips planned. I had two dive days with a 7:30 pickup and missed breakfast both times. At most other hotels I stayed at in Thailand, breakfast typically started earlier (around 6:30–7:00), so a slightly earlier option here would make a big difference.

Cons:

The not-so-good points:
The hotel offers motorbike hire, which made sense given the town is around 4 miles away. I rented a small 125cc bike to explore, but as someone who has been riding for over 30 years, I immediately noticed something wasn’t right with the handling—it felt unsafe.

From experience, I suspected tyre pressure, and after mentioning it to the owner, I was told to try a petrol station as they didn’t have a pump or gauge on-site. After visiting four stations, I finally found one with air and, after waiting around 30 minutes, checked the tyres.

What I found was quite alarming—the front tyre was at just 8 PSI (should be around 29), and the rear was 17 PSI (should be around 33). These levels are dangerously low and could easily have caused an accident. Once corrected, the bike handled properly, but this is something that really shouldn’t have been overlooked—especially for guests who may not have riding experience.

I would strongly recommend that more care is taken with bike maintenance, as this could lead to serious consequences if not addressed. The limited choice of helmets (only three available) was also disappointing.

Another downside was the WiFi. While the room had a great smart TV, the internet connection was very unreliable, constantly dropping in and out. If you’re planning to relax and watch a film, it’s likely to be frustrating, which is a shame given how go

Boutique by the beach
Pros:

A highlight of our trip in Thailand! Gorgeous modern room, comfortable king bed (!), delicious bountiful breakfast and its steps from a lovely beach, with an outside rinsing shower by the tropical entryway.

Cons:

Nothing - I’m just scared to share my praise with too many people as I don’t want them to be overrun 😉

Neues Hotel nahe dem Strand
Pros:

Die Zimmer mit Meerblick liegen im ersten Stock und man schaut über das daneben gelegene Restaurant hinweg zum Strand. Das Zimmer ist groß genug für zwei Personen. Alles funktioniert und es ist sauber, das Bett bequem. Gutes Frühstück. Sehr freundliches Personal. Ruhige Lage. Einige Schritte zum Sandstrand, wenig Touristen. Im Erdgeschoss gibt’s gegenüber der Toiletten ein Dusche zum Sand abspülen.

Nice beach stay; convenient and clean
Pros:

Great location (right at the beach), quiet area, friendly staff and nice touches like beach towels, beach mats and flip flops in the room to use. Very clean, good breakfast, bar/restaurant next door and a short walk to other choices and 7-11. A good cafe opposite as well. I only stayed 1 night but a nice place to finish my Thailand trip with easy access to Phuket airport.

Cons:

Tea bags in the room with the coffee would be nice but no real dislikes at all

Einfach wie im Paradis.
Pros:

Unsere Zeit im MJ Boutique Hotel war einfach rundum perfekt – deshalb vergeben wir aus voller Überzeugung 10 von 10 Punkten.
Das Zimmer war hervorragend – stilvoll, sauber und mit einem traumhaften Blick auf das Meer. Jeden Abend durften wir vom Zimmer aus den Sonnenuntergang genießen. Allein dieser Moment war unbezahlbar.
Das Frühstück war sehr abwechslungsreich und wurde frisch zubereitet. Es war immer ausreichend vorhanden, liebevoll angerichtet und einfach lecker. Man merkt, dass hier Wert auf Qualität gelegt wird.
Besonders praktisch: Direkt am Hotel gibt es einen Wäscheservice sowie einen Mopedverleih – unkompliziert und zuverlässig. Und das Meer? Nur etwa 50 Meter entfernt. Näher geht es kaum.
Was jedoch am meisten in Erinnerung bleibt, ist die außergewöhnliche Freundlichkeit. Das gesamte Team begegnet einem herzlich, aufmerksam und authentisch. Wir haben uns nicht wie Gäste gefühlt, sondern wie zu Hause.
Vielen Dank für diese wundervolle Zeit – Wir haben direkt wieder für das nächste Jahr gebucht – und freuen uns jetzt schon auf das Wiedersehen 🌴

Einen klitzekleinen Punkt gibt es:
Es gibt keinen richtigen Kleiderschrank, sodass wir nicht alle mitgebrachten Sachen verstauen konnten.
Das war für uns aber kein großes Problem – wir haben es mit Humor genommen und einfach aus dem Koffer gelebt 😊
