Heerlijk eten dankzij het personeel dat iedere dag vers kookte voor ons. Prachtige, unieke accomodatie met fijne gemeenschappelijke ruimtes, geven je een echt vakantiegevoel. De host doet veel moeite om te zorgen dat je een fijn verblijf met leuke ervaringen in de buurt hebt.

Everything was just perfect. Beautiful super spacious rooms in a style that you've never seen before. Host Douglas is the best.

We travel a lot, but not very often we have been so surprised by an accommodation. This is truly a hidden gem.

Alles was top! Zulke lieve mensen, lieve dieren (hond Oso en kat Pedro), goede gesprekken gevoerd, overheerlijk gegeten, want alles wordt vers bereid en elke kamer heeft op z’n eigen manier zijn charme (dit kunnen we weten, omdat we elke nacht in een andere kamer geslapen 😂). Het voelt echt aan als een gezinnetje! Zeker een aanrader dus.

Everything!! It is truly an absolute paradise on earth! Daria and Douglas are incredibly kind, sweet, and always ready to help with anything you need.

Wspaniałe miejsce prowadzone przez wspaniałych ludzi (i ich zwierzaki :) ). La Isla Dulce to miejsce z którego żal odjeżdżać, prowadzone z szacunkiem do otoczenia w którym się znajduje i do środowiska naturalnego. Kuchnia przepyszna, cała obsługa miejsca fantastyczna. Zakwaterowanie jest bardzo oryginalne, niezależnie od tego którą opcję się wybierze można spędzać czas w przeogromnej przestrzeni wspólnej. Ze względu na małą liczbę gości (max 6) miejsce do relaksu dla siebie znajdzie każdy. Właściciele pomagają w każdej kwestii logistycznej związanej z transportem lub organizacją wolnego czasu (wycieczki do różnych miejsc).

Douglas en Daria hebben ons één van de absolute hoogtepunten van onze reis bezorgd. Al vóór ons verblijf stonden ze klaar om te helpen met regelen, en ook daarna bleven ze betrokken en zorgzaam. Hun gastvrijheid voelt warm en oprecht.

Elke maaltijd was een feestje: zo vers en smaakvol. Het totale plaatje klopt hier helemaal — van de sfeer tot de service en het eten.

Wij waren zó enthousiast dat we iedereen aanraden om deze villa te boeken.

Herrlich hab mich gefühlt wie im Paradies, alles sehr liebevoll und gut durchdacht. Das Essen war ein Traum . Mit dem Kanu durch den Mangrovenwald oder mit Oco und Dauglas beim „Gassi gehen“ war ein Erlebnis .

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Isla Dulce! The hosts were extremely helpful in coordinating our arrival, and they provided contacts for transportation throughout our time in Guatemala. The food and drink (both delicious) were more expensive than expected.

Magnifique petit havre de paix, construit et rénové avec beaucoup de goût et de talent par Daria et Douglas.
On s’y sent tout de suite comme à la maison et on a surtout plus du tout envie d’en partir. Douglas et Daria apportent une grande attention à tous les aspects de leur projet: de l’accueil parfait des hôtes à la cuisine délicieuse 100% maison, rien n’est laissé au hasard, tout est fait avec conviction et cela se ressent.

We had an amazing time there and the hosts are very friendly and helpful! You need to try the cinnamon roll and the banana cake once you’re there, the best pastry’s we’ve ever tried!

This establishment is located in a beautiful setting in a secluded corner of the Rio Dulce.

It's easily accessible from Livingston or Rio Hondo by boat, either with a shared boat that runs twice a day or by private boat. The owners were incredibly responsive and helpful in helping me find a boat, as I was arriving a bit late from Puerto Barrios.
It's about a 25-minute boat ride from Livingston and 45 minutes from Rio Hondo, and the trip is beautiful.

The setting is magnificent: the jungle, the river. The "Villa" room where I stayed is huge and beautiful, with a balcony overlooking the river (see photo). It's very well-appointed, spacious, and comfortable.

The food at the restaurant is great, and a special mention goes to the cocktail made with homemade coffee liqueur prepared and infused by the owner with a unique recipe.

One of the most beautiful places I've stayed, very relaxing, and well worth the trip.
