What should have been a wonderful stay was ruined by a persistent bad smell

The location is fantastic, and the reception staff member was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable (apart from the bad smell), and we really enjoyed the book about Marseille, as well as the balcony view during breakfast.

Cons:

My wife and I stayed at your hotel for three nights in Room 25. Unfortunately, throughout our entire stay, there was a very unpleasant and unbearable odor in the room, which appeared to be coming from the kitchen located directly beneath it.

The smell seemed to enter through the ventilation system, particularly via the bathroom fan and the air conditioning vent. It noticeably decreased when the air conditioning was turned off. The only way we were able to sleep was by keeping the window open throughout the night, which caused us discomfort due to the cold temperature and outside noise.

We alerted the hotel staff about it, and we sincerely hope that Hotel Belle-Vue Vieux-Port can address and resolve this issue.

Overall our stay was very good. Loved the convenience of the local restaurant right inside that looked out over the port
Pros:

Location was perfect to our surroundings and walking all throughout the port.

Cons:

Probably the walk up stairs to the front desk and the extra small rooms. But it worked!

I would stay again as the location is excellent.
Pros:

Location on Port Vieux. Had a nice room with views. Clean and tidy room. Comfortable bed. PArking close and they offer a reduced rate.

Cons:

Lack of a lobby; can be noisy but not the fault of the hotel - it’s the location. Can smell the kitchen strongly in the hallways and room.
