Pros:

We really enjoyed our stay at Uma Dana! The location is a bit far from the main area of Ubud, but you can walk there easily, take a Grab or rent a motor bike. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The property itself is really lovely but definitely needs some deep cleaning and the outside area needs a power wash. The photos in the property description must be from when they first opened since you can’t see the algae that has since grown. It seems like the furniture hasn’t been replaced since they first opened. The included breakfast each morning at The Tropical Ants was delicious!! The staff were super kind and friendly :)

Cons:

A bit far from the main town, and LOTS of ants everywhere. We felt like they were crawling all over us at times.

Pros:

Staff have a smile in their face, breakfast was amazing good value and quality, vibe is nice close enough to the center but distant enough for calmness.

Cons:

Bed sheets had marks on them, bed was making a broken wood kind of noise, we stayed for 4 nights and rooms were only cleaned once after we asked after 2 days. I beleive for longer stays rooms should be always serviced and towels replaced. Property was mostly empty so it could have been done easily.

Pros:

The staff were amazing, facilities fantastic, rooms were spacious and clean, the views were so beautiful and the restaurant had incredible food and service!

Cons:

A few bugs around but not the end of the world, hardly noticed them!

We come back time and time again!
Pros:

Uma Dana is our 2nd home in Penestanan. We built a villa close by and lived here while it was being built. We stay here often when our villa is rented out.

It was clean, modern and had good amenities, check out isn’t too early which was ideal and lovely cafe beside. Felt very safe here as solo female traveller
