Pros:

As a photographer I spend almost the entire year at my favourite hotel, the Sky Bay Lodge in Ha Giang, Vietnam.
The location is ideal for starting the world-famous „Ha Giang Loop“ .
Beautiful rice terraces are also nearby. Fortunately, the hotel is located 3 km outside the city, surrounded by nature, so it's very quiet and relaxing, and you don't have to worry about smog.
Furthermore, there are beautiful hiking trails through rice paddies nearby.
They have a wide selection of rooms, from very inexpensive to very comfortable.
The house is run by a very nice family, especially Manager Ms. Tuyet who speaks perfect English. She will arrange an inexpensive taxi (50,000 VND = 1.90 USD) for the 3 km from the bus station to the hotel.

De mensen waren zo enorm lief. Zorgzaam en denken mee. Ze doen echt hun best om alles ook netjes te houden. Je voelt je heel welkom en het is zo een unieke ervaring in deze omgeving.

מקום זול אבל החדר שקיבלתי היה מאוד לא מוצלח. מיושן ומקלחת ללא מקלחון שמרטיבה הכל. הצוות והאנשים מאוד נחמדים . האוכל שמכינים במקום נחמד.

Quietest place in Hi Giang
Pros:

Very quiet at the end of the road with forest and mountains in view. Good food and clean accommodation. Bike hire available. Sat and relaxed on deckchairs on balcony after doing the loop.

Cons:

Pool was out of use. Looked dirty on arrival then it was emptied whilst we were there. Need a taxi to go anywhere as town and restaurants 30-45 min walk.

Tiptop für eine Nacht auf der Durchreise.
Pros:

Weg vom lauten Zentrum, frische Bettwäsche und kuschelige Badetücher. Karaoke hat um 22:30 aufgehört, danach war es sehr ruhig zum schlafen. Bequemes, grosses Bett.

Cons:

Nachttischlampe fehlt. Anfangs Januar ohne Heizung sehr kalt. Wände sind ringhörig.

Genial para prepararte a hacer el Loop
Pros:

La amabilidad del hotel fue magnífica, todos muy serviciales y simpáticos. Nos gestionaron traslados y el Loop. La comida estaba buena.
Habitación limpia y espaciosa con calefacción y aire acondicionado.

Llegamos el mismo día que lo reservamos y aun así nos encontraron tour.

Al marcharnos ella misma nos llevó a la estación y nos dijo a qué bus meternos. Eternamente agradecido.

Cons:

Me gustaría tal vez una televisión.
La pizza no estuvo muy buena pero eso es problema mío por pedir pizza en Vietnam.

Brilliant location and lovely hosts
Pros:

The place is excellently located and is surrounded by mountains so it is absolutely scenic.
The staff are lovely and very helpful; they allowed me to leave a bag whilst I did the Ha Giang loop - as it was my end destination.
Giang, a member of staff, offered to take me out and show me Ha Giang and again for breakfast - super nice and kind people.
