To have a hotel room in the transit area of an international airport like Istanbul sounds like a great idea, but the reality of staying here has much to be desired !!!
After a long flight, the check-in took forever. This is a real problem for those who book the cabin during layover cause every 30 minutes you wait is 30 minutes less sleep until your next flight. While the room is small and compact (like in Tokyo airport), the tech inside the room does not work well in my opinion (not like Tokyo or Swiss airports). It's sounds "hip and cool" to use an "iPad-like" devise to control everything (Note it's not a real iPad), but in reality it's clumsy and not "user-friendly like an Apple product". I was not able to completely turn off the lights (bummer) for my 5 hour sleep before the next flight! The little cabin does not have a bathroom which may be OK (if it's clean and tidy); but the shared bathroom is also not very well maintain. I found towels by other guests all over the floor and the sink ran out of napkins! Worst, for all that - it costed me over US$200 for a long nap !!! I wouldn't stay here again and would not recommend Yotel to other travelers!
Noise trough all night, impossible to sleep properly. Cleaning personnel disturbing the rest of the guests by cleaning night time.
Highly overpriced for what is offered, absolutely not worth it for the money. Better take a taxi and go to a normal hotel, it will be cheaper and you will get better rest.
We had a queen room and it was bigger than expected. It was clean and comfortable.
For what you get it seems expensive, but there are really no other options if you need an overnight stay airside

Nice area for layover transit through the airport. Secure rooms, nice decor and layout. Close to the food court. Nice size, clean shower. Friendly front desk staff.

The location is good - but not worth the money for sure
Very noisy - rude staff - motion detection light was coming on every 2 mins - crazy expensive - you have to buy access to showers
Unbeatable location, if you need a layover sleep, nothing beats this location
It’s generally a very noisy location and also there were construction works ongoing in the middle of the night!!!
