Wonderful central historic location!
Pros:

This a charming place to stay if you want to be in the historic centre of York. We got upgraded to an apartment which was very kind of the staff to do this. The apartment was fantastic stylish warm and comfortable. It even had milk for tea and water which was a lovely touch. We are planning the next stay and choosing this as it’s so lovely, thanks Karen and team for a wonderful stay!

Perfect location for a nice weekend in York
Pros:

Perfect location and very comfortable room

Cons:

A bit too noisy during the night as there is a club just downstairs. We could sleep fine but might be worth putting it in the description

Pros:

Sparkling water biscuits and crisps provided. Also big plus was a voucher for free house wine if dining below

Cons:

Not suitable for disabled or elderly, many stairs to surmount, no lift. You can hear downstairs bar but tolerable on my thursday stay...not sure for the weekend

I would definitely stop here again and recommend it to anyone who wants to stay very central

Great location, appreciated the upgrade massively, lovely place. Cant fault

Cons:

Instead of having 2 small toilets with small shower/wet rooms and the square hallways separating the two it would be better to have singular bathroom with a larger space for the shower toilet and sink. Coming the hallway space and two bathrooms

Too noisy to sleep
Pros:

Central location

Cons:

This property is above a smoking garden and bar and there is no sound proofing. It literally sounds like the bar is in your bedroom. Unless you’re going on a night out and planning on going to bed at 4am there is no way you’re going to get a decent nights sleep here. It also wasn’t the cleanest. For nearly £150 a night I wouldn’t be back here again.
