Amazing!
Pros:

We had an amazing stay at Fort York! We were pleasantly surprised with a free upgrade, which made the experience even better. The space was beautiful, comfortable, and felt like a real treat. Everything was clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully set up, and the upgrade really elevated our stay.

The location was great and overall the experience exceeded our expectations. We truly appreciated the gesture and hospitality — it made us feel valued as guests. Would absolutely recommend and would love to stay here again!

Pros:

First impression with my eyes, untill I smelled the mould.

No locker, mould so bad I had to search other accomodations. Unfit for a healthy stay.

A lovely, comfortable stay in the heart of York
Pros:

Fantastic location in the centre of York, with lots of pubs, restaurants, shops and attractions nearby. The room looked fantastic, really well decorated and kitted out with everything we needed for our stay. The provided tea and coffee was top notch and I liked the guides to the local area that were in the room too.

Pros:

Amazing location right in the heart of York, and the room was lovely for one night.

Cons:

There was no reception to go to and had to check in and check out via the pub next door, but it wasn’t a big deal

Posizione centrale, stanza carinissima, pulita e ben riscaldata. Molto apprezzati gli snack di benvenuto.
Al piano inferiore c'è un pub e nonostante le tante recensioni negative devo dire che noi non abbiamo sentito confusione, forse complice il periodo tranquillo. In ogni caso vengono forniti dei tappi, noi abbiamo dormito benissimo nonostante io abbia il sonno leggero.

La struttura è in una posizione ottima, nel pieno centro storico di York, e nuova di pacca. La stanza è molto ampia, ben arredata e accessoriata per una colazione in autonomia (sono presenti un bollitore, tè e caffè, biscotti, zucchero, acqua). Il letto è confortevole e ampio, considerate le dimensioni tipiche inglesi dei letti matrimoniali.
Al piano è inoltre presente un piccolo angolo cucina comune.
Lo staff è stato molto reattivo nell'accettare la nostra prenotazione tardiva, causata da un disservizio dell'hotel che avevamo precedentemente scelto, e i dipendenti del pub che gestisce le camere davvero gentili e accoglienti.

Cons:

Il locale si trova sopra un pub che nel weekend si trasforma in discoteca: abbiamo apprezzato molto la presenza di tappi per le orecchie nel kit della camera, che in realtà non abbiamo utilizzato, ma per chi ha il sonno più leggero possono essere d'aiuto.
La temperatura della camera ma soprattutto del bagno è assolutamente insoddisfacente: il bagno è una ghiacciaia, e farsi la doccia senza un box è stata un'esperienza artica; purtroppo abbiamo capito che lo standard invernale inglese è questo, ma avendo pagato 106 sterline per una notte, battere i denti ci è sembrato eccessivo.
