Great location
Lovely room
Friendly staff
Very good food
room nice with all you would expect just a short walk away from pub area rooms on there own area.
breakfast poor sourdough bread only with a overcooked poached egg on top
asked for toast with marmalade ( none available )
my husband had a bacon butty but again bacon overcooked very dry.
we were not big breafast eaters.
breakfast was included in price.
we needed extra milk for room no issue in getting this.
perfect location near the river but extremely buisy very difficult on a sunday afternoon to get parked.
as it was hot weather and lots of people around doing watersports and boating and sunbathing on the banks.
TV in room very poor signal and would not work on normal tv channels.
a staff member came to look but they too found tv not working only you tube?
so when in room we had no choice but to watch repeat things as in peter kay all night.
that was a laugh anyway.
sunday afternoon food undercooked and very expensive for what you get?
not much choice in the way of normal pub food.
the pub closes at 6pm something we were unaware of when booking?
we probably would not have booked on a sunday as it was a half way point in our travels to devon.
this should be indicated in property advertisement for bookings.
we did get a curtesy call on the morning of leaving saying it closed at 6 but we thought
this was for food only. as the call was very quiet and short.
we did find a little pub up the road from here ( the village inn ) 5 minute walk.
they too found it very strange a pub closing at 6pm.
The view was fantastic of the river and across fields. Very peaceful. Breakfast was fresh and cooked to order. You didn’t have to go through the pub to unload cases as rooms are separate.
The staff were excellent.
Close for Gloucester and Tewkesbury.
There was nothing to dislike.
The staff were BRILLIANT - attentive, helpful and friendly. The room decor was tasteful and well-appointed - fresh coffee and milk, plus cookies was a welcome treat. The restaurant was inviting and decorated well. We both slept very well.
Although nothing that was the fault of the pub, Google maps took us down a very bumpy and waterlogged track (we could see the Fleet Inn from the track) but we were on the wrong side of the river. We were not the first people to have tried to come this way. Maybe a sign at the entrance to the track saying the Fleet Inn was not accessible from the track would be helpful so others do not have the same tricky journey. Additionally we changed rooms as the next door family room was very noisy .
Also, the hairdryer in the room was not working for longer than 10 seconds so I went out with damp hair. We had pre-booked a table in the restaurant but many of the dishes were not available so we went elsewhere - not ideal as we had been looking forward to not having to go out in the cold. Staff did give us suggestions of other places to eat which was helpful. The curtains cover the radiator which is not ideal as the room was colder than we would have liked. There was an additional heater but this took a while to heat up the room. We resorted to folding the curtains on the windowsill to let the radiator heat the room. Dust on the lampshades and in the radiator was noticed early on.
Breakfast was good, though the order was taken wrongly.
All in all, not the best of trips, but on the plus side, we slept well!
Poor good
Accepted dogs and very clean. Easy parking but was November

Great value for money - our room in the annnexe was overlooking the river with lovely views. Our room had a fridge with milk and water in it and there were fresh cookies in a jar. The food for dinner and breakfast was delicious. All the staff were lovely and the manager (James??) was very welcoming and friendly. Close enough to the M5 to make it a good stopping off point on a long journey, but no traffic noise at all - it was very peaceful.
Excellent location overlooking the River Avon. Warm and comfortable room.
Little really.
