Because we had already booked this hotel in advance, and many other hotels in the city were fully booked during our trip, changing accommodation was unfortunately not really an option for us.
Upon arrival, there was no real check-in process needed, as our information was apparently still stored in the system from our earlier stay. This made us feel a little uncomfortable, as we assumed guest information would normally be removed after check-out.
This time, we stayed again on the fifth floor, but in room 504, which was located at the front of the hotel and included a balcony. As mentioned in our previous review, the hotel is very centrally located, with bars and nightlife nearby. Since the rooms are not very well insulated, noise from people outside late at night can be heard quite clearly.
During our stay, we also had neighbours returning late at night who were speaking loudly both in the hallway and inside their room, which was unfortunately very noticeable from our room as well.
One thing we found interesting was that room 504 included a paper with hotel rules, while our previous room (502) did not. The rules mention keeping noise to a minimum between 22:00 and 08:00. We believe it would be helpful if this was also clearly communicated during check-in, as many guests may otherwise not realise how easily sound travels throughout the hotel.
Unfortunately, this also seemed to apply to the cleaning staff. On our final morning, we hoped to sleep in a little before check-out, but were woken around 07:00 due to loud conversations and cleaning noise in the hallway. Once we opened the door to mention it, the noise level became noticeably quieter.
The location of the hotel remains very convenient for exploring Tirana, but better sound insulation and clearer communication regarding quiet hours would improve the overall experience significantly.
Our stay at Hotel Theatro was decent overall. The hotel is relatively small-scale and centrally located, close to many of the main sights in Tirana. There are also several bars and cafés nearby, as well as a gas station close to the hotel.
The breakfast was simple and had the essentials, although the selection was fairly limited.
One thing that bothered us slightly was the bathroom situation in our room on the fifth floor (502), located at the back of the hotel. The bathroom had a long narrow window facing the mosque and nearby apartments, which made privacy difficult, as it was possible to see inside from outside. We ended up using some of our clothes to create extra privacy.
The rooms are also not very well insulated. Noise from people walking in the hallway, the use of the lift, and especially the nearby mosque could be heard quite clearly from the room.
We also would have appreciated being informed in advance about the construction work taking place on the sixth floor, as work started early in the morning and could easily be heard from our room.
Location was the only bonus
Room was super small and barely had any space to put our luggage. Shower didn't work. No soundproofing and could hear guest next door as well as floor above. Plus, the housekeeping opened my room door 3 hours prior to my check out time while I was in the room sleeping. Terrible experience
Breakfast was great! Staff was wonderful and accommodations very modern and new. Short walk to city square, shopping and dining. Everything was wonderful!!
Stanza moderna
Un po piccola la dimensione della stanza
Great hotel. Very clean and modernized. Staff very friendly and extremely helpful. Location very near city center - a short walk to cultural center, shopping and dining. Transportation arranged by hotel to the airport was the best ever experience I've had.
Nice modern location close to the centre within walking distance of everything needed. Workers were very helpful, facilities clean and lovely breakfast buffet!
Purtroppo nella camera non si respirava, i condizionatori non funzionavano e tra l’altro puzzavano di ammoniaca e li ho dovuto comprare medicinali perché ho avuto problemi con le vie respiratorie
Good location
