Relaxing 4 night stay in a beautiful setting.
Pros:

Lots of choice at breakfast, we had a table by the open French doors with a lovely view of the delightful gardens. Situated in a lovely location with views over the surrounding countryside, The Crown is a lovely village pub with excellent accommodation in a separate building.

Cons:

Whilst we expect a certain amount of flies in such a rural setting and with the hot weather it was a bit disappointing that the breakfast items were uncovered.

I intend to go back.
Pros:

The Crown has a relaxed atmosphere, a beautiful courtyard, excellent food, attentive staff and rooms fitted out to a high spec.
I used it as a base for cycling in the Stour and Box valleys. The area feels like an England of a different era. Altogether charming.

Cons:

It’s rare to find a hotel in the UK that does not fail in some important detail. The Crown is remarkable in this respect: everything was just right.

Constable Country Connection
Pros:

A great hotel. Fabulous food, accommodation and location. Staff were interesting and interested. Good to have a restaurant and pub that also had a local connection. If you want beautiful walks in Constable Country, this is your place.

Pros:

The breakfast choice was excellent and delicious.
All staff helpful and polite

Unfortunately our reservation had not been received by the hotel . They were able to assist though I had to pay and claim a refund

Staff where amazing, tbe rooms very comfortable, food and drinks amazing. For a stay away Christmas it was perfect foe me and all my family.

Cons:

Slight mix up with the bill on xmas day, it was busy so wasnt that there faukt, however rectified later and in fact a little was taken of the bill so I was happy..
