Would not stay here again or recommend it.
Pros:

The location of the property being central to Nuku’alofa. Being on the waterfront.

Cons:

The room did not follow the guidelines outlined on Booking.com where they took full payment for the room weeks prior to arrival, contrary to the conditions that were outlined where a partial deposit would be taken.
The property was disappointing from first arrival. Parking was difficult being at the front of the building with limited spots. On arrival staff, we’re not helpful and welcoming.
Cockroaches were spotted running around the edge of the room as soon as we entered. At least half of the power points we tried to use did not work.
The room was hot and humid. There was air-conditioning however it struggled to cool the room, there was no ceiling fan and when a portable fan was requested from Reception staff there was none available.
We continually had to kill cockroaches running around the room throughout the time there and were even woken during the night with cockroaches in our bed.
On returning late at night we found they hadn’t cleaned our room on day 2 so the rubbish wasn’t removed, we had no fresh towels.
The room had flickering light globes, a lot of road noise and was plagued with small cockroaches.

Perfect spot for downtown visits and great waterfront views
Pros:

The staff was excellent. Helpfully in everyday. Answered our questions and saw that we were taken care of

Our time in Tonga was enjoyable and memorable.
Pros:

The location was good. It was central and easy to walk to markets, cafes, tourist information etc.

Cons:

I found the mattress in our room very hard. It too about a week for sore areas on my hips to subside (I am a side sleeper).

I expected a Garden View as per the advertisement. Internet connection keeps dropping out

I was expecting a “Garden View” as per the advertisement. The view out the window was a fence. Why advertise it as “Garden View”?

Internet drops out almost every four to five minutes. l have to reload my Zoom back over and over again.

The Emerald Hotel offers a clean and friendly accom option in Nuku'alofa.
Pros:

The room was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was simple but adequate. I appreciated that it was available.
Hotel is central and an easy walk to town, cafe's and the marketi.

Cons:

A few small maintenance issues, nothing major but making sure that everything is working in the rooms would make for a better stay.

Komfortabler Retter in der Not!
Pros:

Dass wir so kurzfristig für eine Nacht ein Zimmer bekommen haben und dass man ehrlich zu uns war

Cons:

Für eine Nacht hat das schon gepasst, das Zimmer war groß, das Bad müsste renoviert werden.
