Could be so much better...
Pros:

It was modern, well carpeted and a comfortable bed. The linen was clean.
Free parking.

Cons:

On our arrival we found the receptionist dismissive, not welcoming.
We specifically chose the room because of the balcony and were disgusted with the filth of the furniture and the floor. There was no view from the balcony as there were metal finns so you could not see out of it.
The toilet ran constantly and the plumbing noises were throughout the night as the cylinder kept filling up.
The shower cubicle lets water out everywhere and floods the bathroom.
The level of cleaniness in the bedroom was very poor, crumbs in all the drawers and all over the floor. Peanuts and rubbish at the back of the bin.
The drawer had 3 knives and one spoon, not a great for 2 adults for breakfast. First day two slices of bread each, 2nd day one slice of bread each and no attempt was made of cleaning the room.
We were not told we would be right next to the railway track and a level crossing where the trains honk their horns before they cross it.

We informed the receptionist of the dirty balcony and the running toilet, which she begrudgingly poked the toilet a few times. She went and got a mop and slopped it around the balcony spreading the muck about. She left the room shouting 'there you go,' no apology - we found her rude and unwelcoming during our stay.

THIS PLACE COULD BE A LOT BETTER WITH THE RIGHT STAFF, WITH THE RIGHT ATTITUDE AND WORK ETHIC.

A very pleasant stay. Scone is a lovely town.
Pros:

Location was excellent. Staff were lovely. The room was suitable for our needs.

Cons:

As we were in the disabled room, it was difficult to manoeuvre the wheelchair into the room while trying to keep the door open. A wedge to hold the door open while I was getting my husband in would have been great.
Also the two disabled parking spaces were up by the office. It would be beneficial to have one by the disabled unit for times when the car park is full.
