Pros:

Room was spacious and clean. Facilities and pool area were great. Excellent location, felt very peaceful! The team were extremely welcoming and friendly, especially Mira!!

Disappointing stay, amazing food
Pros:

The location was ok and the staff was really nice. The food was brilliant, kudos to the kitchen staff, they really did a job with the food. Would come back only for the restaurant and not for the stay. A special call out for Lakidu who works in the restaurant, he was so helpful and friendly and gave us really good recommendations.

Cons:

The rooms were quite small, and in hindsight we may not have reviewed the property details carefully enough. Since we had booked a 3 night stay for our honeymoon, we were hoping to upgrade to a larger room and were happy to pay for it. However, we were informed that the property was fully occupied, which did not seem to be the case and felt disappointing considering we were on our honeymoon. Even though we mentioned it, the staff didn’t do anything to make us feel just a little special.

Another disappointing aspect was the housekeeping. On the 2nd day, fresh towels were not provided, and the same towels from the previous day were simply rearranged. Additionally, no handwash was provided, and we were expected to use the shower gel for both purposes, which was quite surprising and not something we’ve experienced before.

Overall, we were not satisfied with our stay, and it did not feel like it offered good value for money. We would maybe go for a different place to stay if we knew better.

Great place to stay for an ahangama trip
Pros:

A lovely stay in ahangama right on the beach, the bed was one of the most comfortable in our Sri Lanka trip. Nice view of the ocean/sunset from the balcony and a great place to meditate, the breakfast is delicious and the pool area is very calming. Lots of flowers and greenery around the property. We really loved our stay here.

You have to book a massage when you’re here by far the best massage we have had anywhere in Sri Lanka and for great prices.

Kamer was fijn. De rest viel allemaal een beetje tegen van wat wij hadden verwacht.

Cons:

Ontbijt was pijnlijk om mee te maken. Ik kreeg 4 gepocheerde eieren die van binnen nog rauw waren, op avocado toast waar geen avocado te zien was.

Beautiful accommodation, top class roo.s and bed linen, such a relaxing, warm and welcoming place to stay. We had 4 nights here and nothing was too much trouble. Staff, bar and chef all excellent. Pool was a delight and access to stunning beaches, restaurants nearby and an easy distance to major towns in a tuk tuk

Stora fina och välstädade rum, trevlig och hjälpsam personal och bra pool. Bättre frukost än på andra ställen jag bott på i Sri Lanka också.

Cons:

Låg på fel sida av Ahangama, precis vid vägen. Men man hörde inte mycket från vägen på hotellet ändå.

Definitely recommend it!!
Pros:

The attention to detail was immaculate. Miriam was just absolutely amazing. That leadership is what drives an entire workforce towards success. This was very evident in the service from Ashara to Lahiru to the entire staff who served us brilliantly. The amnesties were curated well and the pool was just awe. Accessibility to the beach was great and parking within the premises was ample. The FOOD, just wow!!

Cons:

Everything was near perfect but if you’re forcing our hand, just make sure that complacency doesn’t creep in; for instance the boundary walls could do with a whiff of paint.

Pros:

Great location just a short walk from the main town, far enough away to escape the hustle when things get busy. The pool is perfect for cooling off on a hot day and such a lovely spot to relax.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at The Jam House and was genuinely sad I did not stay longer. The room was spacious, beautifully styled, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Bonus points for the shower because the water pressure was next level.

Miriam, the manager, and Arlene, the owner, are absolutely wonderful. Both were so welcoming, accommodating, and made the stay feel extra special. I highly recommend The Jam House and will definitely be back.

Pros:

A little hidden gem in Ahangama
The interiors are modern and thoughtfully designed with sustainability in mind. The rooms are spotless, with huge balconies, and there’s a great variety of food options.

Meryem is truly exceptional hands-on and available 24/7. We were a big group of 15, and she made sure every single one of us was well looked after. Highly recommended

The best place to stay
Pros:

An amazing place! We had a large family trip and booked 7 rooms for 4 nights. All were stylish and immaculate. Everything you could wish for from the crisp cotton bedding to the powerful hot shower. Staff were so kind and nothing was too much trouble. Chef cooked delicious meals of such a high standard. Location great for the beaches and surf.
