Please avoid this bad place! It was so bad that we left, and still had to pay in full!
Pros:

The only thing good was a safe parking for the 1 hour we were at this terrible location of OYO ! = Hotel Rio

Cons:

Mold on walls, all over black, stinks in the room, fan looked like it got never ever a cleaning, 1/2 inch + dust on top, just nasty. Bugs all over in yard.

Pros:

Almost everything was good.

Cons:

The only bad part was that the pool wasn't in service. We were told that has chemicals and we weren't able to use it.

A brief stay as a stopover, we were happy with the value, parking, and amenities.
Pros:

We liked the Hotel Rio for it's location close to the Belize border, as we were crossing into Belize the next morning. The border is only a coiuple of minutes drive away. Secure parking, a small swimming pool, nice yard and quiet location. The bed was comfortable, shower was good, and the hotel was easy to find.

Cons:

The bathroom door wouldn't close properly, but that is about the only drawback. No English was spoken by the staff, so if that is an issue then keep it in mind.

Convenient, good price, but with bugs
Pros:

Cheap place to stay, very friendly and helpful staff, nice pool area, shower had hot water.

Cons:

There was sooooo many bugs in the evening, they come towards the light so when my boyfriend and I were planning our trip in the evening and had the light on- I swear like 100 bugs were flying around. Bugs in the shower as well. Saw one huge cockroach on the floor that ran by.
Also the bed felt dirty, there was only a blanket and one sheet directly on the mattress that was almost coming off because it was too small for that bed. I slept on top of the blanket and covered myself with my own towel, just couldn't make myself lay on that sheet. Still gave it an okay rating because you get what you pay for.
