Very disappointing
Pros:

We could check in early without charge. That was very nice. Also the overall style of the hotel is nice and could be cozy if the hotel was run right.

Cons:

All the public areas in the hotel were extremely cold. For dinner and breakfast we had to wear our coats and the swimming pool was basically useless because it was just so cold. Most of the staff (including the life guard at the pool!) wore jackets as well. The room on the contrary was so hot it was unbearable. No matter what they did to the AC we could not reach temperatures below 24 degrees, which is way to warm for sleeping. The room was not very clean and staff was soso. They seemed to run away from us because they were scared to speak English. Food was average and did not seem very fresh. We complained to the staff directly about all of this but were ignored. Nothing changed, no kind word. Definitely not recommending staying here.

Luxurious Getaway From The City
Pros:

The hotel is new and 2-bedroom suite was spacious and awesome. It totally exceeded our expectations.
The heated toilet seats in winter was definitely a bonus.
The staff were friendly and helpful. They offered to collect my Taobao packages from their locker area that wasn't in the main building.

Cons:

The buffet breakfast on a Saturday and public holiday was too crowded. We had to wait for a table for 5. The staff seemed overwhelmed with the crowd.
The location is far from the city but close to the Pudong International Airport, so it's better to plan your stay there before leaving Shanghai.
