This property does not accommodate bachelor(ette) or similar parties.
We booked Aviral Ganga for a family weekend, and it turned out to be the right decision.
The river view was the highlight — you sit with tea in the morning and just watch the Ganga go by. No distractions. Just peace.
Travel was easy too. Assi Ghat was a 5-minute boat ride from the hotel’s private ghat. We drove to the BHU and the Vishwanath Corridor in 10 minutes. Sankat Mochan and Tulsi temples were around 15 minutes away. Ramnagar Fort? Literally across the river — again, 5 minutes by boat.
The property felt safe, calm, and welcoming. Rooms were well-kept and spacious enough for all of us.
Would happily come back, especially when we want time away from noise but still want to stay connected to the city.
The view! Right from the bed, you see the Ganga, wide, calm, and golden in the mornings. It’s the kind of stillness that just hits different.
Location-wise, it worked out perfectly. 5 minutes by boat to Assi Ghat. Just 10 minutes by car to the new Kashi Vishwanath Corridor and BHU. Sankat Mochan and Tulsi Manas Mandir, Around 15 minutes max. We even crossed to Ramnagar Fort in 5 minutes by boat.
Rooms are clean, airy, and simple. No overdone luxury, just good taste and comfort. The staff stays out of your way but always shows up when needed.
If you’re coming to Varanasi for the real vibe, the calm, the stories, the river then this is where you want to wake up.
The approach road should be constructed properly by the Municipal corporation ASAP.
I stayed at Aviral Ganga for a weekend, and honestly, it was the kind of place that doesn’t need to try hard to impress you — it just does.
The view? Unreal. You wake up and the Ganga is right there — calm, wide, glowing in the morning light. I’ve stayed at other riverfront hotels before, but this one actually feels peaceful.
Now here's the thing: location matters. You're about 5 minutes by boat to Assi Ghat, 10 minutes by car from BHU and the new Vishwanath temple, and around 15 minutes to Sankat Mochan and Tulsi Manas Mandir. Even Ramnagar Fort is right across — just a short boat ride. So yes, everything's close, but you're not stuck in the crowd.
The property itself is thoughtful. The rooms are spacious, clean, and don't try too hard to be fancy. It’s warm, welcoming, and well-maintained. Staff? Kind and quietly efficient.
If you're looking to actually feel Varanasi instead of just ticking boxes, Aviral Ganga is worth it. I’d go back in a heartbeat.
Staff behavior, river view, rooftop restaurants and security
There is nothing to be disliked
Had an amazing stay — the hotel exceeded all my expectations. Very clean, the staff were very friendly and polite, the best part of the stay was the location . Loved the morning view, the evening view and the night one too. The food was also exceptional, very tasty , kuddos to the chef .
There was nothing about the property i didn’t like . It was pretty amazing
Very close to the centre of the city
Clean & peaceful place on the river front, excellent food , boat facilities for vishwanath dhaam, Kaal Bhairav,Ganga aarti and subah ye banaras
You can cover a lot by boat for darshan and Ganga Aarti, avoiding city traffic jams
City traffic is heavy but has improved in the last 3-4 years
Bad customer service
Fellow customer chanting from 5.30am in garden. Can not enjoy earthly morning sunrise from your own balcony. Brought it to hotel staffing but they didn’t take care. Showed them videos with timing but nothing happened. Paid too much money for too much inconvenience. Think twice before booking this property. Definitely not recommending.
Ok Breakfast but this place is full of mosquitos and you cant ope the door or window.
Mosquitos, too expensive food, staff are not well trained when you book through Booking .com they ask you to pre-pay for stay. This hotel rooms are not more than rs 4000 also this is too far from city and far from the airport .
Some of the staff members were courteous
"It offers Indian, Chinese and continental cuisine 4."
"Overall the staff and service were good and we had a pleasant stay."
"The restaurant serves delicious food and for the breakfast spread is lavish."

Peaceful ambience, good rooms with river view. Great option for people looking for tranquil places to stay on the riverfront and won't mind the 30 to 45 minutes travel to the major religious sites. Most other hotels in this range is in the …More

Aviral Ganga is a beautiful retreat on the banks of River Ganga. The sunrise seen from your room is breathtaking. The rooms are very comfortable with very clean bathrooms.
More items can be add like dry fruits & Fruits
Breakfasts area very short between two tables
Hot tea services need to improve, all other food quality was good
Well made hotel, brand new, good quality.
Sound proofing inside room.
Parking is right below the rooms, all night vehicles coming and going are honking, guest noise is all coming in the room. Couldn't sleep any of the four nights inspite having good rooms, food.
Beautifully placed near Ganges , calm and serene environment
On day 1, I could I have given this property 5 stars for the service they provided. They waiting for us late and provided us with hot dinner even after the dinner service was closed. The staff was courteous and very helpful. But on Day 2 we could see some problems and it could be since it’s a newer property but with the amount they charge we definitely think few areas could be improved.
1. Each bottle of water is charged at 80inr.
2. We ordered tea in the room and on day 2 it was super bad. Felt like old tea was served to us.
3. The room was not cleaned on the second day and the reason was given that we had taken the key and hence they could not. Our assumption was the room would be cleaned with the master key and we were not neeee in the room.
4. The property is very far from the ghats to make sure you have your own vehicle to move around. Since we could not find any decent restaurants or tea around the area.
5. The place is expensive and boasts of being par with 4-5 star properties but we feel a lot of work needs to be done to come par.
Pro:
1. The view from the room is beautiful and peaceful. The backdrop of Gange and the birds is amazing in the morning.
2. The food in the hotel is good. We ate only once( dinner)
3. Staff is courteous and friendly.
