Wir waren sehr enttäuscht, dass während unseres Wellnessurlaubs der komplette Spa-Bereich gesperrt war. Leider wurden wir darüber vor unserer Anreise nicht informiert. Gerade bei einem Wellnesshotel ist das ein wesentlicher Bestandteil des Aufenthalts.

Am letzten Abend haben wir andere Gäste im Bademantel durch den Park laufen sehen. Ob es eine Ausweichmöglichkeit für den Spa-Bereich gab, wissen wir bis heute nicht, da wir hierzu keinerlei Information erhalten haben.

Auch der Zimmerservice war enttäuschend: Während unseres viertägigen Aufenthalts wurde das Zimmer erst nach unserer Nachfrage einmal gereinigt. Zwischenzeitlich hatten wir weder frische Handtücher noch Toilettenpapier – das sollte in einem Hotel dieser Kategorie nicht vorkommen.

Außerdem halte ich das Gebäudekonzept für problematisch. Durch die großflächige Glasfassade heizen sich die Zimmer bereits bei Außentemperaturen von etwa 25 °C erheblich auf. Da keine Klimaanlage vorhanden ist, wird der Aufenthalt schnell unangenehm. Die schweren, dunklen Vorhänge reduzieren zwar die Sonneneinstrahlung etwas, machen das Zimmer aber gleichzeitig deutlich kleiner und dunkler.

Schade – wir hatten uns auf einen erholsamen Wellnessurlaub gefreut und unsere Erwartungen wurden leider nicht erfüllt.

Pros:

Wir hatten das Zimmer 701 im oberen Stock mit einer perfekten Aussicht auf Winterberg.
Das Frühstück war sehr gut und abwechslungsreich.

Der Fitness- und der Badebereich sind 1a Auch das Frühstück ist super und die Architektur originell. Schöne Lounge, einladende Bar. Einfaches Aufladen des Autos an der E-Ladesäule.

Cons:

Hotels dieser Kategorie sollten Wasser/Tee/Kaffee auf dem Zimmer haben oder eine Minibar. Die Matratze war etwas durchgelegen, den Gesamteindruck schmälert beides aber nur wenig.

Leider war der Wellness und Pool-Bereich für einige Zeit geschlossen. War bei Booking nicht vermerkt. Sehr schade, da das ein Auswahlkriterium war.

Es war sehr ruhig. Die Lage ist schön. Personal super freundlich und Hilfsbereitschaft.
Sehr interessantes Gebäude mit angerenzender Touristinfo & Stadthalle

Cons:

Leider befand sich der komplette Spa Bereich in Revision.
Das war schade , aber muss gemacht werden. Stattdessen haben wir eine Freikarte für den Spa Bereich eines anderen Hotels bekommen , weichen 5 min mit dem Auto entfernt war. Das war eine sehr nette Alternative
