Charming Accommodation in Ciudad Lujan de Cuyo
To experience the allure of Terrazas de los Andes Guest House, book your stay now and create lasting memories in Ciudad Lujan de Cuyo.
Gracias!
Our stay included Breakfast, and Wow what a breakfast. Fresh Orange Juice, Nespresso coffee maker, Fresh Breads, 3 different Jams, slice of Pound cake, eggs ordered the way you want them, fresh Fruit plate.
4 out of 5 of the people on the front desk and restaurant Spoke fluent English. A really big help with our very rusty Spanish. They arranged an unscheduled wine tasting just for the two of us. Reggie( who has a great palate) walked us through their wines with a Nice cheese plate pairing to complement the wines presented. We tasted their a wine flight including their 100 Point Malbec and ended up buying 3 magnums, which they shipped back . Now I wish I had bought more. Truly an amazing unexpected experience.
Looking back, I can not think of a single thing. It was perfect!
The breakfast was ok
Nobody would reply to our messages, we were lost on our way to reach the hotel and nobody would reply to our messages or calls. We managed to find the « hotel » after 30 minutes of searching by ourselves.
When we arrived the staff who were at the reception barely spoke any English and we had a troubled time to communicate, even a simple question as « at what time does the breakfast start » couldn’t be understood and we had to use google translate to get an answer… The room itself would have been ok if it wasn’t for the stinking bathroom that made the whole room to stink and only with open windows it would be somewhat bearable. The next morning we wanted to ask to change our room but there was no one at the reception and as we had plans for the day we left hoping to find someone when we got back… Boy we were wrong… There was again no one at the reception… And the smell in the room from the sewage was even worse the second night! So the next morning we managed to find someone at the reception and asked to change the room. The staff seemed aware of the issue and changed us the room… My question is if they knew there was this issue why did they even put us in that room in the first place, the hotel was empty ?
Finally the cherry on the cake was that at checkout (still no one that spoke English well appeared) we were overcharged… Through our reservation in booking.com it was mentioned that the establishment’s currency was in USD so we had a price in USD and a price in EUR. When it was time to pay they gave us the price in ARS which we were unable to verify if it was correct or not… We shoes them the price we had on booking and they insisted that the correct price was the one in ARS. So we paid an equivalent amount of EUR 120 = USD 150 extra. This was roughly the equivalent of an extra night. When we raised the issue again to the property they told us the price was correct. And when we tried to raise the issue with booking.
The big room was a dream
Parking is located directly across the street, very convenient but lighting is limited when walking back to the hotel after dark.
La tranquilidad y la atención del personal
Nada
This is a special place to stay. The rooms are very well done. There an only a few rooms and you feel like you are a visiting wine buyer. Free tour and tasting include. Breakfast was very nice.
We arrived after 5:00 and there was no one around so the guard let us in. It is a small place.
