Location was convenient for me.

The housekeeping staff was friendly and professional. Thank you!

Cons:

During my stay a few items were stolen, which included my passport.
The hotel doors did not officially lock. How is this possible?
Nothing was seen on the video cameras allegedly.
More than one guest complained about missing items as well.
The neighborhood isn't a vacation destination. People with their own lives visit to take care of their own business. Stacking up another problem is a thing that should not be, on top of everything else! I'll never stay there again.

Pros:

The Days Inn is an amazing value; usually hotels in NYC are either way too expensive for what it offers or cheap but disgusting. The location is close to perfect; 10 min bus ride or 5 min drive to the SI ferry and 20 mins to EWR. I've stayed here a few times and every stay the rooms were well cleaned and comfortable. The staff was always very friendly and helpful; they try their hardest to accommodate guests.

The bed was comfortable

Cons:

The staff was rude. They said I didn’t pay and I had to wait 30 minutes in my car after driving three hours to call Booking.com so they can call them and verify. The bathroom smell like smoke and my room door didn’t lock. The only way it locked was by the extra security lock at the top.

Nothing special. Just okay!

Cons:

*Location is the worst. So many homeless and wierd people. Wierd staff and even wierd clients!
*It's funny but the whole building from lobby the rooms smells like a public restroom that has just been cleaned!! They use funky smelling cleaning agents.
*Rooms are very small, doesn't have closets or iron, locks are removed from doors so you can't lock the door when you are inside.
*Staff are polite but they look very poorly presented and doesn't present a professional image. Supermarket staff look more professional and tidy than them
