Kleines Hotel direkt am Bahnhof, gut für die Bahn, schlecht fürs Auto
Pros:

Das Hotel ist direkt gegenüber vom Bahnhof Caen. Es dauert etwa 30 Minuten zu Fuß in die Innenstadt. Das Preis/Leistung Verhältnis war ganz okay. Das Personal vor Ort war (nachdem wir sie telefonisch erreicht haben) sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer waren sauber und trotz hoher Temperaturen (28°C draußen) ohne Klimaanlage kühl genug um entspannt zu schlafen.

Cons:

Wir sind mit dem Auto anreisen und hatten nach Hotels "mit Parkplatz" gesucht. Vor Ort stellte sich dann heraus, dass wir kostenpflichtig an der Straße einen Parkplatz finden müssen, was direkt am Bahnhof nicht sehr einfach war.
Für den Check-in mussten wir eine Telefonnummer anrufen. Wir haben gleich zwei kanadische Gäste mit rein gelassen, die keine Möglichkeit hatten, die Nummer anzurufen. Eine Möglichkeit, sich per WhatsApp zu melden, wurde nicht angegeben.
Unsere Zimmer gingen nach vorn raus, wo man bis nach Mitternacht Betrieb vor dem Bahnhof hört. Nachts kam dann noch die Straßenreinigung und ab etwa 6 Uhr morgens hört man die ersten Autotüren knallen, wenn Menschen zum Bahnhof gebracht werden. Es ist daher keine ruhige Unterkunft.

Emplacement pratique en face de la gare

Cons:

Le bar restaurant ferme le weekend end , du coup pas d accueil et pas de petit déjeuner, le check in se fait seulement a 17h

Perfekte Lage. Für mich, als Weiterreisende ideal.
Pros:

Somewhat misleading listing. Front desk is the bar/cafe which closes early and often. If your check in time says you have a desk until 7 pm, you should be available at the desk until 7 pm
