Not great.
Pros:

Good location for us.

Cons:

Very basic, expensive for what it was. No soap in bathroom. Faint dog smell. Not totally clean.

It servec a purpose but wouldn’t stay again Reminded me of a Butlins chalet

Cons:

When we checked in we had to queue at the bar with our cases. There was only one poor girl working and it was a race day. The entrance to the room was filthy. The shower head was filthy too. There was no soap. The carpet was all stained. Very dirty. I’ve got to say the bed was really comfy

Although advertised in the bookiing as great pub food available we traveld 360 miles to be told that no breakfast was availble and also they were not doing any lunch or evening meals either when i pointed out that in my booking there was breakfast the man in charge just said booking .com should not have said that a very poor responce really

Good value. Everything was OK. Car parking

The room was made up, but the man on the was not expecting us. Bathroom was pretty tight.

Very disappointed with the room, wasn’t the cheapest of places to stay,

Room was dirty, drawers front were falling off, sink didn’t drain, toilet had urine stain on the front, no remote for tele,
No food being served at pub,
Shower was temperamental
I asked in the pub about the remote and was told to come back in 10-15 min, good customer service would have been to come to the room with a solution

Stayed here as we were going to a wedding 3 miles away , unfortunately all taxis were booked and the kind landlady came and picked us up from the wedding at 11.45pm .Didn't want any petrol money etc ,very kind gesture from her

Cons:

Could do with a blind over the door as day light streaming through the frosted glass at 4.30am

Most important thing for me is the bed its the best best i have slept in for a long time.
Pros:

Bed was really comfy ,bedroom was lovely and clean,never ate there as we were travelling to races,will be going next year.

Overall our stay at the Vale of York was not an enjoyable experience and I certainly wouldn’t recommend staying there to

Cons:

Advertised internet in rooms but there was none. Carpets stained, shower wasn’t clean and paint falling off bathroom ceiling. When opened window the window frames were filthy.
