Ceylon wilpattu safaris & lodging

El personal del hotel fue increíblemente amable, profesional y atento. Dado que en la época en la que hemos ido por motivos geopolíticos no estaban llenos, nos hicieron un upgrade sin coste! La cena espectacular.

Een ultramoderne, gloednieuwe accommodatie bij een liefdevolle familie. Wij kregen een gratis kamerupgrade. Op het dakterras kijk je 360 graden over de jungle uit. De zonsondergang is hier wonderschoon. Je doet jezelf tekort als je hier niet ook het ontbijt en diner neemt. Het Srilankaanse buffet is het lekkerst dat wij in 3 weken tijd in SL gegeten hebben.
Ook een dag safari via de eigenaar Roshan geregeld. Wij hadden het geluk alle grote dieren in het park te mogen zien: luipaard, lippenbeer, olifant, sambar hert, wild zwijn, jakhals, waterbuffel, mangoest en nog heel veel meer.

We had an amazing stay at Ceylon Resort in Wilpattu. Roshan and all the staff were really helpful and it was a beautiful place to stay. The food was incredible - both breakfast and dinner - with a huge selection of home cooked local food on offer.

We did the full day safari through Ceylon and it was incredible. We saw a leopard up close, elephants and lots of other amazing animals. Our guides Nicky and Ranil were great. We also did the night safari where we saw a leopard too and lots of other birds and mammals.

We’d thoroughly recommend staying here in your visit to Wilpattu.

Der Besitzer war unglaublich freundlich und hat sich sehr viel Zeit genommen, uns alles ausführlich zu erklären und Tipps zu geben. Obwohl in den letzten Tagen wegen der aktuellen Situation im Nahen Osten viele Stornierungen eingegangen sind, hat er uns sogar ein kostenloses Upgrade auf ein das beste Zimmer gegeben, was wir sehr zu schätzen wissen. Am zweiten Abend hat er für alle Gäste ein umfangreiches Buffet mit traditionellen Gerichten aus Sri Lanka zubereitet– das war wirklich eine tolle Erfahrung. Auch die Safari, die wir über das Resort gebucht haben, war hervorragend. Unser Fahrer war sehr engagiert und hat sich große Mühe gegeben, uns möglichst viele Tiere zu zeigen. Wir hatten großes Glück und konnten sogar einen Leoparden sehen.

L’accueil, la gentillesse et la disponibilité du personnel fut remarquable. Les chambres sont spacieuses et décorées avec un goût certain. La salle de restauration très cosy nous invite à prendre le temps pour profiter d’un buffet sri lankais exceptionnel.

We had a deluxe room in a new building that was quite lovely. The food was amazing and the owner was the kindest most helpful person you've ever met. They organized a good safari in a comfortable vehicle with lots of food for the day. The location is very close to the entrance gate.

The meals were very good; especially the dinner buffet. Excellent cappuccino with Roshan's imported coffee machine. The safari was well organised and the driver made an effort to find the animals. Roshan gave us a free upgrade which was a nice added touch. He also got us a taxi for our onward journey.

The place is really amazing and is run by a lovely and welcoming family! It's really close to the wilpattu National Park. We did a whole day safari which is highly recommended because we saw the elephant, the Leopard and the bear in the afternoon. The driver was a pro and we had Nikki as our guide which told a lot about the different animals and kept us enthousiastic and awake (you leave at 5:30 in the morning so sometimes your mind wants te sleep during the day)

The resort had a big tower in the middle of which has a beautifull view of the sunset. All the food is home made and taste fantastic. Both the breakfast and dinner which is a buffet which different choices. We would highly recommend this place to everyone.

De gastvrijheid, ontzettend vriendelijke medewerkers. We kregen een upgrade naar een nieuwe kamer. Erg prettig verblijf en prachtige kamer met terras!

Genuinely one of the best experiences I had in all of my travels. The host Roshan takes customer service to another dimension. He allowed late check-in and dinner and even freely upgraded our double room to a family room just because the room wasn’t booked. We’ve never experienced such hospitality without extra costs. You notice that he’s really there to give you the best possible customer experience. A true gem of a man who is genuine and honest.

The staff is just as lovely and ensures that you are as comfortable as possible. The chef is truly amazing and made us taste true Sri Lankan cuisine.

The room is very beautiful, clean, and got everything you need. The beds are comfortable except for the pillows but this is a personal preference. The property itself is also very stunning.

The safari is well arranged but we were a bit unlucky and didn’t see that many animals during our full day safari. It stays wildlife and it’s a game of luck. Nevertheless we had a great and kind spotter and a good driver.

Het enthousiasme van de staf was fantastisch! Heel zorgzaam en een upgrade van onze geboekte kamer naar het nieuwe gebouw. Een modern opgetrokken gebouw van twee verdiepingen dat toch helemaal past bij de omgeving. Het uitzicht vanaf de rooftop over het omliggende nationaal park was adembenemend. Vanwege de afgelegen ligging is het logisch om aan te schuiven bij het dinerbuffet, en dat is absoluut geen straf. Heerlijk!! Echt een aanrader om vanaf dit resort te starten met een dag safari door Wilpattu NP. Wordt overigens ook perfect geregeld!!

Super vriendelijk, fantastisch avondeten, sfeer en een degelijke safari (alhoewel er minder wild te spotten is als vb in Zuid Afrika) met mooie natuur in het park. De wandelsafari is een 10 minuten wandeling naar een nabijgelegen meer.

Très bel établissement, idéalement situé pour le safari, le personnel est au petit soin pour les demandes, Roshan le patron s'occupera de tout. Un tout nouvel hôtel vient de voir le jour avec un rooftop au 6eme étage pour une vue splendide sur le bush..
Le repas du soir est un régal avec beaucoup de spécialités sous formes de buffet, un régal !
Je recommande cet endroit pour votre safari et aussi pour la quiétude et le confort des chambres, et l'accueil chaleureux de Roshan, sa femme, et toute so équipe!
