The whole experience of the hotel was excellent throughout; bedroom, garden and staff were some of the best we’ve encountered, which made for a really enjoyable break.
Staff and grounds amazing. Rooms comfortable and clean. Had a lovely dinner. Breakfast lovely.
Nothing.....
Loved the house and gardens. The staff were very attentive. We received a first class experience which is becoming less and less available. The Granby room was clean and cozy, the service was impeccable and the property is so perfectly maintained. Thank you it was wonderful.
There are no complaints here!
Excellent condition with quality furnishing. Also very attractive gardens and very quiet.
Very little, although the design of the bathroom could have been better as there was too little space for bathroom items, e.g. toothpaste, tooth brushes, deodorant, medication etc.
Nydelig eiendom, fantastisk lite hotell i «engelsk» stil med vakker hage! Komfortable rom. Restauranten var en opplevelse i seg selv. Servicen fra personalet var i en egen klasse, vi følte oss velkommen fra første stund.
Ingenting å utsette.
The Hotel was lovely.
The food was exceptional
The service from the staff was really good.
No prices that we could see for the bar drinks.
Excellent, attentive and kind staff. Great location. The hotel has a refreshingly individual style. Delicious breakfast.
The hotel is a lovely historic house. It is beautifully furnished. The service and the food are excellent.
Location was great. Lots to do around baslow. Walking distance to chatsworth house through the village into the grounds. Lots of good quality cafe’s & some nice homeware shops in the village
Beautiful house & gardens
Nothing
Beautiful location, beautiful House staff very attentive and perfect
Medically beautifully maintained gardens fantastic
We stayed for 3 nights and it was excellent. The staff are very friendly. The food was excellent. Our room was a suite so we had room to sit and drink tea/coffee away from the bedroom. The bathroom also had plenty of shelf space for toothbrushes, razors etc.
The restaurant was very high quality. We tried the full tasting menu and the standard 3 course dinner and both were excellent. However, we don't generally want fine dining for 3 nights in a row so we ate out for the middle evening. So we think it would be better if they offered something like bar meals which are less fancy.
The room was very very small
The room was as expected. The tasting menu was nice and the breakfast was adequate. Check-in was a bit chaotic - staff are too busy to welcome you properly on arrival. The location is decent - close to Chatsworth, which was the purpose of the visit.
My partner had arranged with the hotel and paid to have flowers in the room for an anniversary gift, but had specifically asked for no lilies as they cause my asthma to flare up. There were lilies in the bouquet, which was disappointing to see, considering the cost! Either the staff at the hotel or those at the florist did not take note of the request.
Country Manor elegance
Bit pricey
