Me parece una mala broma

Nos alojamos en el Hotel Rinascimento a principios de enero. Habíamos reservado con tarjeta de crédito a través de Booking.com. Según lo acordado con Booking.com, pagamos el importe total de la estancia al hacer el check-in. Sin embargo, el hotel retuvo el 25% del importe total unos días antes de nuestra llegada. Este procedimiento es común en hoteles de todo el mundo para evitar cancelaciones o gastos derivados. Sin embargo, lo malo es que, casi un mes después, el hotel no ha abonado ese 25% en mi tarjeta Visa.
Pero lo peor viene ahora: es bien sabido que, en caso de incendio, no se deben usar los ascensores. Durante nuestra estancia en el Hotel Rinascimento, las escaleras del primer piso estaban bloqueadas por una pared de madera con un cartel que decía "Prohibido el paso". Al parecer, se estaban realizando obras en el primer piso antes de las fiestas, pero no durante ellas. No hubo obras durante los cinco días que dura nuestra estancia. Por lo tanto, en caso de incendio en el Hotel Rinascimento, ni los ascensores ni las escaleras habrían servido para escapar, siendo las ventanas de las habitaciones que dan a la calle la única vía de escape para los huéspedes. Una decisión audaz por parte de la dirección del hotel, como mínimo, considerando que se trata de una medida ilegal y, además, con el recuerdo aún fresco del incendio en los Alpes ocurrido tan solo dos días antes. El hotel debería haber permanecido cerrado al público durante las obras.

Very pleased with our accommodation and stay in Rome

Size of room. Location. Clean room and serviced daily. Breakfast good. Reception staff very helpful local knowledgeable re bus service. Great AC. Easy check in out

Cons:

Kitchen very basic. Limited coffee and milk. Floor in room could be cleaner . We had dirty feet after shower.
