I can’t think of anything that we didn’t like

I was very cold during the night.
Amazing that the only breakfast cereal was Special K, about the most unhealthy cereal on the market! I had porridge, which was fine.
Still no TV of radio, but I am sure they are going to deal with this.

Everything was going well until they switch off the heating around midnight. It did not come back in the morning so the room was freezing cold. We were the only guest but considering we paid 200£ in low season for the room having a warm room is the bare minimum.

Very poor communication prior arrival. We requested a cot and they did not even answer.

Hotel is very tired, rooms are very basic, bathroom accessories included a plunger to unblock the drain !

Evening meal in attached restaurant was very poor which was a shock as we were expecting an exceptional seafood meal. Never had pale almost mushy scallops before (and hopefully will never have them again).

Whoever rated this as a 4 star needs re training IMHO.

Very expensive for a very basic room. No TV

The Scallop starter dish was excellent, But the Scallop main dish was more than twice the price for+ 30% for less than twice the portion size. Didn't seem quite right.

Where to start — there is absolutely no management in this hotel, ie, NO reception ever manned !! And phone calls never answered as b and emails are rejected!! Just appalling - it is now no better than an hostel !!!?

I’ve never left a bad review and I’ve thought long and hard about leaving this before doing so, but i’m so annoyed with this place and can’t let it go.

So first i’ll mention the room, which isn’t even the reason i’m leaving the review, but if i’m leaving it i may aswell give the full facts. The room which i believe i paid around £140/150 for one night including breakfast was so tiny with such dated decor, cold with only an electric towel style radiator in the bathroom as the central heating was off, noisy window with paper thin curtain’s that offered no privacy whatsoever from the two occupied cabins in the rear garden that over looked my room, and finally no tv. I laughed it off with family i was in touch with as I was travelling alone and it was only for a single night.

Secondly, when checking in I said to the guy that I would be leaving early hours and wouldn’t be around to have the breakfast as i had a nearly 13 hour, 606 miles drive home the following day in which he then said thats fine, we’ll make you a packed lunch and leave it in the fridge for you to collect on your way out. I later confirmed this with his colleague who showed me where the fridge was and told me what he would put in the bag. So, leaving the hotel before 5.30am, went to the fridge and it was empty! I was so annoyed as i had no food at all and was already hungry, it was then 3 hours before i came across anywhere that was open to get food by which time i felt drained as i hadn’t eaten.

Third and finally which has really pushed me to leave this review, i emailed the hotel to express my unhappiness and asked what happened to the arranged food, the email kept bouncing back so i then forwarded it to messenger via this facebook page. To my disbelief it showed that the message had been read and after three days i still hadn’t had a reply. I then sent another message asking if they intended on replying, in which they again read it and no reply at all. I’m disgusted. Terrible customer...

Struttura molto datata e poco manutenzionata, interni in cattivo stato soprattutto i bagni ma il peggio è stata la temperatura che con -6 gradi esterni l’unico riscaldamento era uno scalda salviette in bagno e un piccolo termo in camera acceso solo poche ore!!! Abbiamo dormito in 3 nel letto matrimoniale x scaldarci nella notte!!!!

It was perfect

Not clean - paper peeling in bedrooms! Mould in bathrooms. Cobwebs generally uncared for.

No TVs in room. Very much in need of a redecoration and refurbishment
