Managed by a private host
The location, the staff when was available, the internal installations, the pool, lovely all
The moisture smell inside the bathroom was terrible. We had to put the dehumidifier inside the bathroom to breathe. The housekeeping staff just hosed the shower base and surroundings, but there were no signs of any cleaning liquid being used.
Fantastic location only a 5 minute walk to the Palace and main Road. Stunning traditional Balinese family compound with newly renovated super clean and spacious rooms. The gardens are meticulously cared for and jungle views are incredible. A truly peaceful gem right in the middle of town, but totally quiet and peaceful. Lovely big clean swimming pool. We stayed for 2 weeks and will definitely be back.
Really quiet location with beautiful private balcony overlooking river jungle. Very clean, nice shower and good location for getting around.
I wouldn’t change much. On arrival, some communication from the host would have been helpful (I arrived late at night to an empty reception desk and unclear how to access my room).
In the room itself, perhaps some better curtains as the neighbor’s balcony light shone brightly into my room.
Great location right in the middle of busy touristy ubud but at the same time enough from it to have that tranquil bali feeling. Nice familyrun place. Swimmingpool was cold.
Incredibly humid room with terrible moldy smell. Lots of ants walking trough the room, they tried to help us with that but used heavy insect repellant which made it worse for us. Swimmingpool was a bit dirty and it's quite small.
This little gem was so stunning! It doesn't pop up on booking.com very often as they often have yoga groups there - so if its available - BOOK IT.
The location is fabulous. It's in the middle of the art market but as soon as you enter through the entryway, it's like a little oasis.
The rooms are beautiful and calm - the gardens are so relaxing and I ended up extending my stay in Ubud purely because I didn't want to leave this property. I stayed in both the Twin room down the bottom of the garden and a higher single room. The twin room had an awesome huge bathroom and nestled in the garden which was gorgeous. The single room had a smaller bathroom but a huge big private balcony which was beautiful to relax on.
Breakfast is nice and simple - but was yummy and there are plenty of warangs and cafes around if you want to mix it up.
Honestly I want to live here <3
It's nothing big - but little things may have been nice to make this place phenomenal.
The rooms do not have a fridge - this would just be nice for keeping drinks cold after a long day exploring.
It's also not possible to reach the room by car (which I didnt know in advance) - so you need to be able to walk with your bag through the art market (or from a parallel street) to the homestay. There are steep steps to most of the rooms on the property so if you have mobility issues you may find it hard as the handrails are not amazing. There is 2 rooms that do not have steep steps (will have to venture down to get to the pool) that you could always request if needed.
Perfect location… in the thick of it but tucked away enough to feel secluded and peaceful. The grounds are beautiful!
I really liked the room and the walk thru to get there
Liked it all
It was a nice room in a hidden garden. Very quiet homestay in the middle of Ubud. The location is absolut great, you get everywhere within minutes by walking. We also always had hot water.
Note that most Grab driver will not drive into that street. So they will drop you in the parallel street and you have to walk with your luggage.
Also I have to say that there was a lot of humidity in the room and therefore in the mattresses. It would help if the AC would run during the day.
The location is directly off a busy tourist market street, which was very convenient when wanting to explore the central Ubud area by walking. Even though it is so close to a busy area, the rooms are at the back of the property and were very quiet. The grounds are stunning, with many tropical plants, little pathways with shrines and statues everywhere and a lovely clean pool.
Room was nice, beds comfy and room tastefully decorated.
The in-house breakfast was excellent, and they also have a small restaurant which catered for other meals if you don't feel like venturing out into the chaos of Ubud.
If you continue up the market street away from the main road, it turns into a very lovely rice fields walk with gorgeous views and locals busy working in their rice fields, with other accommodations and many restaurants along the way.
So many good eateries catering to all budgets within walking distance. Scooter hire just down the street.
A lovely balance of tourism in one direction, and farmland in the other direction, all within walking distance.
Air-conditioning worked great, daily turn down service appreciated.
We appreciated the airport transfer at the end of our stay: the driver was polite and it was reasonably priced. They advised us to leave for the airport earlier than we had planned which turned out to be good advice as the trip took longer than Google maps suggested.
The bathroom was a little junky, as the floor surface was peeling away and the shower pulsed between quite hot and quite cold.
Their laundering process might need some reviewing: the pillows were a bit mildew smelling, and upon inspection under the pillow case: a little mouldy.
The towels started to smell pretty rank as soon as we used them once; perhaps they need washing in some disinfectant now and then.
We loved the winding stairs and steps everywhere, but if you were a little less stable on your feet it might be quite challenging if you were in the lower rooms.
As it is located on a very narrow and busy market street, our taxi driver didn't want to venture in, and dropped us off on the main road, so we had to carry our bags around 400m to the entrance. Fine for us, but if you couldn't carry your own bags it would be a problem.
If you can't handle all the stall holders trying to get you to buy something every time you walk up the street, then this probably isn't the place for you.
Excellent location, in the middle of the Art Market. Close to everything. The gardens are really beautiful
I stayed in a room on the lower level of three, so there are quite a few steps down to the room which wasn't a problem for me. However the sun does not reach the lower level even when it's not raining and the room was really, really damp smelling, it smelled like cat wee.
The rooms on the top and middle level get the sun so they probably don't have this problem but they are less private as you pass them to get to the rooms on the lower level. It was nice and private so great if you were sitting on the patio outside
This was an absolute gem of a place. Location was exceptional - tucked away and quiet yet close to everything. The property was truly stunning; I can’t describe how beautiful walking down the paths to the pool area was. My room was comfortable and cozy yet modern. I loved this stay.
I did not have hot water for one of the nights I was there, at a time I really needed it! Communication with staff was delayed on both booking.com and WhatsApp. Otherwise, highly recommended.
Great location! The garden was amazing and the rooms comfortable. Excellent breakfast as well!
We woke up quite early because of the sunlight in the morning :/
Clean rooms, wonderful garden. A lot of good furniture and storing for travellers.
Breakfast and a lot of stairs so not suitable for everyone. Staff helped with our suitcases.
Be aware that you have to check that you've got all your clothes back after laundry. We had some missing items we needed to ask for.
The owner/manager did not ask for payment during check-in. Instead, asked my friend everyday, which was annoying.
Nice, clean, private, cozy.
Staff, friends & families are all so friendly & welcoming.
Really only that the hot water was either scolding or cold, couldn’t maintain a temp. Other than that, the place was awesome!
Amazing property and staff.
Clean, comfy and great family hosts
Really bad wifi which made it hard to work as I am a digital nomad
