Excellent stay. Good size room, clean and comfortable bed. Exceptional Room Service staff and food
Pros:

We had Bfast only for a day as were travelling very early the next day. Attentive staff, decent spread. Tried only vegetarian options as this visit was only for visiting temples

Cons:

Tea, Coffee supplies should be a little more in the room to avoid asking for replenishment

Enjoy our stay. Good location for us.

Cons:

The softest side of the bed was to hard.
It would be helpful to have a couple of “Western” options on the dinning menu.

At the price I booked, a total value for money
Pros:

I got a room for a very ogood deal and I found it really worth it. As a lot of reviews point out, the fittings seem a tad bit old, but the room I got was very clean. Here is what I thought.

Location: Excellent - centrally located in Palayam. Railway station is very accessible via multiple mode of transports. Surroundings have nice shops and hotels.

Room: It was clean and neat. Bed was very comfortable. As I travelled alone, it would have been nice if they put me in a queen bed or sorts, I got the twin bed room - but was comfy. Room size was just perfect for me. View was also nice - it was pool and city view for me. The room had kettle, coffee, tea readily available. Snacks and drinks on chargeable basis were available. Centralised AC was working well (no regular fans). They also kept basic toiletries (Dental kit, soap, shampoo, shower cap etc.). The washroom had hair dryer.

Service: It was nice. Not the excellent service you would see in a 5 star hotel, but is adequate. The front office only had 2 people - but since on the day I went it was only few guests, nothing to complain.

Food: The breakfast was included in my package and it was tasty and sufficient when it comes to variety.

Other facilities: The hotel had a gym, swimming pool, Spa and salon - things I expected as a leisure traveller. There are 2 lifts - working well. The WiFi speed was decent - I could make some video calls without issues.

Overall - I really liked it. It was off season and at this price, I would certainly stay again.

Cons:

To me, only few things that could have been better.

I assume due to the commercial gas supply issue, the lunch only had veg meals as the option by the time I went. While the meals itself was decent (adequate quantity), some dishes could have been better.

Also, the swimming pool looked a bit old, so it could do with a renovation.

Central hotel
Pros:

Large room, comfortable bed. Convenient location in the town. Pool access was good. Open roof bar was a plus. Staff helpful & friendly doormen. Adequate for a short stay.

Cons:

A lot of outside noise even with closed windows. Pool area has no shade. Restaurant ok but not great.

Cons:

The servuce staff at tge Breakfast bufget should be more organized and available. Except for the captain. Who was of great help, maintained service standards and very proactive, others were barely at their stations. They shud be more organized in approach. My appreciation to the captain of the service. The team should be more like him for better experience
