Trip paddle boarding with my son. Perfect place to dry off outside in the sun with a pint
Pros:

Lovely little proper pub with good selection of beers. Great to find somewhere like this so close to the city centre. Also very comfy beds in cosy accommodation

Good location, but room rather uncomfortable during summer
Pros:

Perfect location, at walking distance from train station and main attractions.

Cons:

I suppose the room is very comfy during winter, but in the summer it’s simply an oven. Extremely stuffy, even at night. In fact, I felt it was much warmer inside than at the street, right under the sun. Also, it’s quite noisy, though that’s not surprising as there’s a pub at the ground floor.

Schöne Stadt mit einer schönen Unterkunft

Die Lage war hervorragend und das Personal ausgesprochen freundlich. Der Pub im Erdgeschoss ist sehr empfehlenswert. Trotzdem wird es in den Zimmern nicht laut.

It was in a great location . The Griffin was full of character and would highly recommend. The staff were all so helpful and friendly . Great Team 😃

Lovely stay lovely room but in the summer it would benefit from a fan being provided
Pros:

Was close to the venue for a wedding we attended and then other coffee places for the morning

Cons:

It was in the middle of a heatwave and the room was hotter than outside and there wasn’t a fan offered even though only one window would open as the others were sealed shut it seemed.

Lovely clean accomodation. Great central location.

Great location. Clean and had everything we needed

Cons:

Warm room - provided with fan. But as third floor of building and limited window air the room would be unbearable with the warmer temperatures we have been having! (But isn’t everywhere!). Room also smaller than expected.

Enjoyed our stay very much.
Pros:

So centrally located, great friendly staff.

Cons:

They don’t control the weather so not their fault. We arrived in the heat wave. We had top floor room, very very hot for sleeping. We did have a fan.

Perfect !
Pros:

The staff was amazing , welcoming and nothing was too much trouble . Pub is lovely, nicely decorated and with a great atmosphere. Rooms are cosy and well decorated . Comfortable beds . Amazing location !
