Great location. Clean and had everything we needed
Warm room - provided with fan. But as third floor of building and limited window air the room would be unbearable with the warmer temperatures we have been having! (But isn’t everywhere!). Room also smaller than expected.
So centrally located, great friendly staff.
They don’t control the weather so not their fault. We arrived in the heat wave. We had top floor room, very very hot for sleeping. We did have a fan.
The staff was amazing , welcoming and nothing was too much trouble . Pub is lovely, nicely decorated and with a great atmosphere. Rooms are cosy and well decorated . Comfortable beds . Amazing location !

Location, Style. Comfort and cleanliness.
Both the window and the blind in the room were broken. The female staff member who showed me to the room, while delightful, did speak to me as though I was ninety. I appreciate friendliness, but don't actually enjoy being addressed as "my lovely". It can feel patronising, particularly when applied to an older person by a younger. I really hope this comment won't cause offence, as I know the intention was to be friendly and welcoming.

The property is a lovely, comfortable, traditional pub, in a very handy location for the town centre. The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and welcoming. The room itself was spacious, tastefully decorated and comfortable.
As was to be expected when staying in a pub on a busy road, close to the town centre, on a Saturday night, there were some noise issues to contend with. Unfortunately, we got very little sleep, due to late night revellers, all night seagulls, extremely creaky floorboards and very early morning bin wagons. I’m not sure what, if anything, could be done to help the situation, but it did impact the enjoyment of our stay.
The room was also lacking some basic supplies (only one glass, no spoons, no instant coffee - a couple of pods for the machine only).
