Pros:

L'accueil chaleureux, la propreté des lieux, le fait de pouvoir laisser nos bagages en sécurité à l'hôtel le jour de notre départ.

Cons:

Nous n'avons pas pu nous reposer le matin car le petit déjeuner était servi dès 6h30 à côté de notre chambre au 8ème étage.

Upgrades are downgrades, make sure you get your booked amenities!
Pros:

The room was clean and with a nice view. It was possible to open the window to let fresh air in.

Cons:

We made sure to book a room with ac but then were "upgraded" to a room without ac. The room was probably about 30 degrees hot and there was not even a ventilator. Sleeping was impossible with this heat.

Colazione buona. Abbiamo apprezzato il bollitore per il tè a disposizione al piano

Cons:

Camera piccola, sotto il tetto, molto caldo, senza confort. L'albergo, essendo collegato ad altre due strutture, è un vero labirinto. tra scale e corridoi, mezzi piani... le indicazioni per raggiungere la camera non erano affatto chiare: abbiamo sbagliato strada più volte. Caro per quello che offre.

Pros:

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, die Lage ist perfekt vor dem Bahnhof mit viele Anschlüsse um die Stadt zu besichtigen, das Frühstück ist auch gut.

Cons:

Dass das Hotel keinen Aufzug hat war für mich kein Problem aber die viele kann es ein "no Go" sein, also man muss es berücksichtigen.

Centrally located hotel. Poor quality for price paid.
Pros:

Check-in process good. Breakfast good selection and helpful staff, however, certain items not replenished eg breakfast juices. Hotel location was ideal for train and tram travel.

Cons:

Poor access to what was a very small, dark room which was clearly in need of redecoration. Had to climb over top of bed to get in, as huge freestanding air-conditioner was an obstacle. The shower gel container was also completely empty on arrival.

Abenteuerlich, nach dem Zimmertausch war es o.k.

Das Personal war sehr höflich und bemüht. Ein Zimmertausch wurde möglich gemacht. Tolle Aussicht beim Frühstück. Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut, das Stadtzentrum ist gut zu Fuß zu erreichen.

Cons:

Das Zimmer was wir anfänglich bekamen war ein Dachzimmer, welches bei 35 Grad extrem heiß war, Das Zimmer hatte nur kleine Fenster und eine Standklimaanlage im Raum, die sehr laut war. Auf unsere Bitte hin bekamen wir ein Zimmer im Hotelverbund Metropol mit Klimaanlage, wofür wir dankbar waren. Die Parkgarage war sehr eng, was für große Autos ein Problem sein kann.

Viel Geld, kein Komfort und laut. Selber Koffer schleppen über 2 Etagen.

Das einzige positive war die Mitarbeiterin an der Rezeption im Nachnarhotel.

Cons:

Man wird richtig wahnsinnig, bis man das Zimmer findet. Die letzten Etagen über Holztreppe ohne Lift. Schrecklich. Rezeption nicht belegt. Rezeption im benachbarten Hotel war top. Schilder mit Hinweise, wie man das Zimmer findet. Keine Logik bei der Nummerierung. Keinerlei Hilfe mit dem Gepäck. Einzelzimmer klein, heiß, schlechte Luft. Vom Fenster schaut man direkt auf dem benachbarten Wohnblock. Leute essen, trinken und unterhalten sich laut. Man hört alles. Die Zimmer sind hellhörig. Mein Nachbar hat alle 5 Minuten gehustet. Vom Korridor hört man alles. Das Zimmer war super klein und hässlich. Kopfkissen schrecklich.

Kahvaltı etmedim, çünkü ücretlidir. Otelin şehir merkezinde oluşunu, havaalanina ve çarşıya kolay ulaşımını sevdim. Oda rahattı. Vom Ringamg des Hotels bis zum Zimmer gleicht das etwas einem Labyrinth, an jeder Ecke nochmal abbiegen und Treppe hoch

Pros:

It's steps from the train station, the room was huge, large bathroom, sitting area and bathroom. It had great ac in both rooms. The staff was super helpful, tram passes and arranging taxi. I'll stay there the next visit to Basel.

Nähe zu Bahnhof, gute Anbindung an ÖV, ruhige Lage zu Innenhof, kostenfreies Upgrade, sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal

Cons:

harte Matrazze, beim Checkout niemand an der Reception (hätte gerne mein Gepäck noch deponiert)

Location is very convenient near the Basel SBB train station. Staff is friendly.

Cons:

The Air Conditioning is a disaster. The first room I got had an *extremely* noisy split air conditioner, which sounded as if something was broken inside. At request I got a new room assigned, which had a monobloc air conditioner, also that extremely noisy, in fact too noisy to be able to sleep even with ear plugs. For a room that heats up because directly under the roof, there should really be a decent AC.
