I would like to give a special thank you to Butter Pong (Bellman Team), Pueng (Reception), Vishal (Breakfast Restaurant), and Digvijay (Assistant Reservation Manager) for making my 5th anniversary stay truly memorable.

Although it was a short stay, the hospitality from everyone was exceptional, with a very warm and genuine welcome throughout. Upon check-in, Khun Pueng greeted us warmly and served a wonderful welcome drink, creating a great first impression.

Butter and Pong kindly escorted us to the room and provided a clear and helpful explanation of the room and hotel facilities, which made us feel very comfortable and well taken care of.

The room upgrade, beautiful anniversary decoration, and lovely cake were all thoughtful touches that made our celebration extra special. I also truly enjoyed breakfast, where Khun Vishal took excellent care of us and ensured a pleasant dining experience.

Thank you once again to the entire team for the amazing hospitality and attention to detail. It was a memorable stay, and I look forward to visiting again in the future.

We recently wrapped up our first-ever visit to Phuket, and I have to say it was a wonderful experience overall. The hotel we stayed at was lovely, and the staff in general were very kind and helpful.

I particularly want to give a shout-out to two amazing employees: Faisal Kama and Ilyas. Both of them went above and beyond in terms of professionalism and hospitality. They truly made our stay special and are a big reason why I’d recommend this place to others.

In short, if you’re visiting, definitely look out for Faisal and Ilyas—they’ll take great care of you!

Amazing experience! Room was good size for a family of 4, staff were very accommodating, lovely and professional. Goldi and Vishal went out of their way to assist and make us yummy snacks.

Loved that the accommodation out of the main part of town- less busy and loud.

We were told we would be able to check in early if we paid a 25% room rate but when we got to to the resort they made us wait over 3 hours to check in, making us miss our island tour. Very unaccommodating hotel.

This was my second time staying at the hotel, and once again the experience was great. The hotel is elegant, comfortable, and offers a very relaxing atmosphere with beautiful rooms and a great pool.
What truly made this stay special was the staff, especially MAJDA.
A huge thank you to her. MAJDA was absolutely exceptional: always smiling, kind, attentive, and highly professional. She went above and beyond to make my stay memorable, always anticipating my needs and offering genuine care. Her positive energy and dedication truly make a difference.
Coming back for a second stay and receiving the same level of service says a lot about the quality of this hotel. MAJDA is without a doubt a real asset to Avista Hotel.

Stayed here for 10 nights 11th Dec- 21st December. Arrived to a large Christmas party ongoing and ultra excessive Christmas decorations which actually included complete encapsulation of handrails to the stairs! Handrails serve a purpose!!!!!!
I notified the management via email and received a patronising apology including how "grateful they were for our understanding"? Jingle bells and the rest of commercial rubbish are piped to every corner of the resort gardens and repetitively playing from dawn till after midnight including in the breakfast hall, there's no escape. We raised the issue on numerous occasions with staff but there was absolutely no one listening or concession to their intent " we will make every effort to ensure your stay is as calm and restful" Simply patronising nonsense. On the seventh day I snapped, simply couldn't take anymore (not calm or restful) which surprisingly got a response by persons knocking on the door (when we out), notes under the door etc. This was clearly in response to our notice inclusion we would now be highlighting the matter on Trip advisor review, funny that????? Nothing changed, I had a conversation with someone on the front desk on checking out but it was clear all the apologies and proposals are empty and have no respect for the individual.
We had travelled along distance and at great cost to experience a Thai cultured holiday and whilst we expect and tolerate a token presence of the season this was above and beyond. It is particularly surprising the majority of the clientele are of Indian/Asian origin, its a Buddhist country with only I'd say 10% Europeans the environment created is completely inappropriate?
On other matters:
Do not consider this hotel if you have any mobility disability from our room to the main food hall had 128 steps, a further 15 to the main pool and around 30 up to the reception, lifts are not available other than from our room level except to reception. You could be doing 400-500 steps a day, no need for the Gym!
Breakfast: The bacon is like a dog chew, sausages of all varieties are disgusting and the mushrooms are like slimy leather!
Entertainment: There isn't any other than a fire show once a week which is everywhere?
Food: Options are the Michelin listed restaurants on the top floor and the Vista (main food hall). The former are like all Michelin restaurants we have visited worldwide and are over rated and over priced. Considering the main food hall is busy in the morning there appeared to be only a hand full of people using it at night, so assume customers were out for the evening? first time we ate there my wife spent the next two days in bed with Diarrhoea, may be just a coincidence?
Bar: There isn't one other than that shared by the restaurants on the top floor? never busy, no atmosphere. There are two "Happy Hours" a day at the pool bars although you wouldn't know it unless you ask or see the encapsulated signs on the bars they also can't resist charging 25% the second drink whereas it's generally free elsewhere?
Beer: Local usual Singha or Chang. 180 Bhat for 300ml. At 41B/Pound that equates to around £4.40/half - £8.80 a pint! Mini bar in room - Small bottle of Jack Daniels 2000B- £48***** Buy from the 7/11 Supermarket down the road. Large beer around 50B.

To finish on a positive note the staff, as with all locations were exceptional, friendly and helpful and would thank them for their efforts, seems the management could take a lesson from them and remove their heads from up their backsides.

We stayed here for a week over Christmas as a couple and loved the hotel, the service and the location. The hotel is slightly outside Patong (10-15 minute taxi ride for 250baht) and this means you can easily enjoy everything in Patong while still being secluded from the noise and hectic life. Our room was spacious and nice and had everything we needed. We loved the fact that there were three pools but mainly used the adults only one. Stunning views from the restaurant and bar as well as a very good breakfast buffet and good food at the restaurants added to the positive experience. Is there anything they can do better? Well, the gym was okay but could do with more and more modern machines. Moreover, it was a bit noisy in the mornings when they made up other rooms. But these are complaints on a very high level. We will definitely try to come back for a bit longer…

The best experience at the restaurant was with Mr. Goldie; he was very helpful and friendly and never hesitated to assist.

During my stay at Avista Hideaway Resort & Spa, I had an exceptional experience thanks to Kiran, one of the bartenders. From the very first visit, Kiran stood out for his professionalism, warm personality, and genuine passion for what he does.
The drinks were consistently excellent—perfectly balanced, beautifully presented, and always tailored to my preferences. Kiran took the time to recommend cocktails and made each visit to the bar enjoyable and memorable. His attention to detail and friendly service truly elevated the entire experience.
Kiran is a true asset to the resort and a big reason why my stay was so enjoyable. If you’re visiting Avista Hideaway, make sure to stop by the bar and let Kiran take care of you—you won’t be disappointed!

Avista Hideaway is truly a Hideaway! It is located in the hills that separate Patong and Karon areas on the west side of Phuket. Since it’s located sea side, it has a beautiful view of the ocean and near attractions like local beaches (you can walk to Freedom beach) or take transportation to nearby towns which offer night markets, spas (we got lots of massages, facial, and mani/pedicure), Bangla road, an elephant sanctuary (also walking distance). We were greeted wtih a welcome drink which was a nice and personal touch. The people that work in Avista make this palce special. Kiran (the bartender in the central pool) made us feel at home and super attentive to our needs. He made the best drinks I have tasted in all my travels and easily one of the best bartenders. He and Vishal were attentive to our needs and sparkes genuine conversation that made our stay one to remember. In addition, this hotel has three pools (one of which is adult-only), three fire shows per week, three restaurants (two of which have Michellin stars and one of which is the main hun with excellent buffet style breakfast that easily beats out any breakfast options we have had inclusing an omelet bar, noodle bar, freshly squeezed juices, a ton of pastries, coffee and so much more!). Avista Hideway was the perfect end to our two week Thailand trip that strikes a perfect balance between relaxation and fun! Would 10/10 recommens anyone consider fhis hotel as their home away from home.

Great Hotel. The service from all employees is excellent. Very good facilities, nice location. A very well managed hotel, where you can see that the staff has been trained to give guests a great experience.

The worlds most friendliest staff if have seen. Prompt room service. Amazing rooms. Very well made hotel. Both the Vishals at Vista Chef Arun took special care of us. The staff at Tambu made sure our meal was special. Tamal at Sizzle made sure the sunset cocktails were amazing.

There is a staff member named Abu at the restaurant who is particularly nice.
Work conscientiously and responsibly, able to promptly meet customers' needs.

My boyfriend and I had an amazing stay! I was a bit worried about the cleanliness and housekeeping after reading a few of these reviews, however our experience was nothing like what other people had written! Our room was spotless and housekeeping was phenomenal. They came into our room maybe 3 or so times a day and replenished our waters, placed flowers on our bed as part of a turndown service, replaced our towels, etc. We appreciated it so much and it made such a difference - especially the additional waters!

The Indian restaurant is incredible - we went there twice during our stay and absolutely loved it! We highly recommend the black garlic naan, the mutton curry, and the cocktails. Delicious.

The 24/7 buggy service was fantastic and we used the shuttle service to get into Patong. They have an ATM on site which dispenses 20,000THB for the standard fee of 250THB - super handy.

We’ll definitely be back!

Beautiful getaway outside of the hustle and bustle of town, but not too far away you couldnt explore with included shuttle in to Jungle Ceylon shopping centre. Hotel was an amazing space, very comfortable and layout was great with buggie transport easily available. Clean space, friendly staff. Would recommend and go again.
