Dar Makai Surf Hotel

Simone and family were great hostesses, they were beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy with our stay. Simone arranged a taxi to bring us to the hotel from the airport which was a massive help, specially coming on a Sunday night. She was at the desk at night when we arrived and didn't make us feel pressure to rush at any point.
Over the next few days we stayed, Simone was very helpful giving us some tips of were to go, how to get there and best times for surf which we found extremely good as I never been in Morocco before.

My week-long stay was awesome - it met all my expectations and even went beyond. I loved how easy it was to grab a wetsuit and surfboard downstairs and just head to the beach whenever I felt like it. There’s also a pool table downstairs and a really nice rooftop terrace upstairs. Hosts are very friendly and helping. I'd be happy to come back.

Emplacement, propreté et accueil

I had a great stay at Dar Makai in Tamraght and would definitely recommend it.

The hotel is in a really handy location, close to the beach, shops, and cafés. The rooms are very clean, modern, and clearly well thought out. I especially appreciated the small details, for example, there were lots of coat hangers in the wardrobe, which I loved because I like to properly unpack and hang my clothes when I arrive somewhere.

The shower was excellent, really warm and powerful. The roof terrace is also a great space to relax, and there are proper areas to store your surfboard and rinse your wetsuit, which is super handy when you’re travelling for surf.

The hosts, Simone and Rashid, were incredibly friendly and helpful and gave me lots of great tips about the area and the surf while I was there. They also prepared a handmade breakfast for me every morning, which was a really nice touch and much appreciated. The cafe attached to the hotel serves great food / drinks and has super friendly staff.

I would happily stay at Dar Makai again.

Simone und Rashid sind unglaublich freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und die Lage des Hotels für uns perfekt.
Unser Zimmer war super sauber und mit warmen Decken, was im Dezember wirklich angenehm war.

Das Hotel hat auch eine tolle Dachterrasse und unten im Café gibt es eine schöne Auswahl an Getränken und sogar einen Billardtisch.

Tolle Angebote zum surfen und einen eigenen Fahrradverleih gibt's auch noch.

Das familiäre Hotel ist wunderschön im marokkanischen Stil eingerichtet. Die Zimmer sehr hübsch und funktionell. Die Besitzer sind echte Gastgeber - wir haben uns sehr wohl und aufgehoben gefühlt, denn es gab klasse Tipps für Ausflüge ( plus Organisation), super Surfunterricht, ein leckeres Frühstück - und eine ganz herzliche Familie und Mitarbeiter.

We spent a week at the Surf Hotel Dar Makai and were extremely satisfied. We can highly recommend this hotel. A particular highlight was the food at the hotel, which was prepared with great care. All the staff were very friendly and the hosts were always available to answer questions and fulfill requests.

Simone en Rachid en Rachid zijn perfecte hosts.
Simone denkt ontzettend goed mee met wat je als gast nodig hebt. Surfles, transport, lekkere barbecue, heerlijk ontbijt, ze kunnen het allemaal voor je regelen. Het dakterras is een super gezamenlijke ruimte. We hadden als groep alle 9 kamers bezet, dus het hotel voor ons alleen, top !

Owners were very friendly and accommodating, giving us extra advice on travel tips. Good location for the beach. Nice and modern and felt looked after. Breakfast was superb. Would love to come back here again.

very nice Hotel, perfect, not only for surfing. Close to a long and clean beach . Great for sunset etc. For us the best place to end our road trip, in particular as Agadir Airport is good to return rental cars and for taking the return flight (small airport, short queue)

This small Hotel is run by the owners, which makes a great difference.

Good neighborhood with nice small restaurants and coffee shops near by.
