Great hotel, excellent value for money, lovely meals
Lights on in hallway all night
The Hotel has been renovated recently and looks loved, stylish and very affordable.
Clean comfy room. Love the stateliness & grandeur of hotel. Staff were great.
Our meal in restaurant was a long time coming. Kitchenette upstairs needs some attention.
no breakfast in our booking. we took our own. there is a full kitchen if you wanted to stay and cook meals. full laundry, sep lounge, bathroom, sep toilet. this booking was a full house away from the hotel grounds. with backyard. the house seems to be fully renovated inside. i would rate the workmanship as very well done. fresh paint new appliances and fittings aug 2026
TV was not set up properly and could not watch free to air stations. TV was balanced on a coffee table and easily fell over. toilet seat was loose and slipped sideways during use. an air of isolation for this property was unnerving as well as nowhere to park your nice car in a secure area. wi fi code not readily available or visible anywhere. undoubtedly the best place to stay in town as there is not much quality accommodation available. Tyrells lake and stars very close by but somewhat overated. the photos on the net are no doubt all professional. however we got lucky and saw the cosmos in all its enigmatic wonder first night. if you just want trillions of stars on a clear night, maybe a dark lonely road closer to melbourne is as good whish is the main reason we went there.
Great location
Room had no natural light or ventilation, single beds were uncomfortable -mattresses felt old. Main areas upstairs were very draughty with doors open so we didn’t feel comfortable sitting in the sitting areas
Close to Lake Tyrrell. Clean and quiet. Lovely meal had onsite.
Clean and comfortable room
Nothing
It was very comfortable, nicely presented and staff were attentive & polite. Dining in-house was great. Food was good & presentation nicely done. Atmosphere was relaxed & friendly.
Nothing
Whole house
The couch was facing away from tv
It was a beautifully restored hotel which was clean and comfortable. Bed was comfortable.
It was very cold as all doors to balcony were wide open however the room had ample heating. As the ceilings were so high it took a while heat up.
The other thing I didn’t like was the hall way was so brightly lit up all through the night and the light shone through the door edges. I hung a towel over the door and closed it plus put the extra towels along the floor etc. To try and keep the room darker so I can sleep at night.
The shared bathroom door was right opposite my room and the door doesn’t close as it jams so it was noisy with the automatic fan going
We chose a room with shared facilities. In that context, the room, bathroom and kitchenette fully met out expectations. The room was clean, and quiet. The bed was comfortable and linen was in excellent condition. The room had enough space to accommodate our medium sized bags. Security was good with keypad entry to the accommodation area and a key for the room so we felt safe. There was also off-site parking for our car. The shower was clean with a good showerhead and water pressure. The water was hot and the towels were in good condition. The kitchenette was an unexpected bonus and although we didn't use anything other than the kettle it was nice to be able to make a tea or coffee (using our own tea / coffee) at our own convenience. We ate in the hotel and enjoyed our meal.
It’s got a dorm like feel yet I didn’t run into anyone in hall ways. It makes you feel like you’re not completely alone which is nice for a solo stay. It’s a great pub and the cafe next door has the best coffee and food. I’ve stayed twice now on my commute to Mildura.
If you get a room next to outdoor dinner area on a busy night it can be loud if you want to go to bed early, and if you stay in these rooms make sure both blinds are shut as I arrived late so I couldn’t see out but people could see in with my light on haha so just check both blinds before undressing lol
Excellent accomodation, fantastic staff and great food and general hospitality
There is nothing to dislike about the property
The staff.....
The Frozen soggy bread with the bruschetta. Bit disappointing as food is always good
