Lovely location great walking. Leisure facilities very good. Food was generally good especially evening meals.
Bed wasn't great mattress much too soft. Room not cleaned unless you ask for it? Not what I would expect in a hotel and checkout at 10 is a bit early by hotel standards. Breakfast was a bit variable some food looked reheated rather than freshly made.
The breakfast is beautiful , the staff are so lovely and the pool is so clean . There are even deers to watch in the early evenings , it’s a beautiful place to be with a great pub and atmosphere.
One small thing could be the pillows are little soft/used but that’s not a complaint ! More of a suggestion.
The Gamekeepers inn was just perfect it met our expectation in full.
Quiet and relaxing location, lovely leisure facility on site. Friendly staff. Small property so never felt busy. Great breakfast and evening meal also good.
Ground floor with patio doors so felt slightly overlooked and you can’t leave a door open for fresh air overnight.
Lovely room, nice and quiet. Staff were good. We had to leave a day early due to some bad news about a friend. They said they would try and get us a refund for the final night… not heard anything yet so we presume this was not possible?

This hotel is in a great location, has excellent staff, decent rooms and the spa facilities are a huge bonus. It is on the grounds of a small caravan/holiday lodge park but that doesn't detract from its charm. Would definitely go back.
