Lovely location ideal to explore. The inn had great choice of menu and drinks were competitively priced.
More lights are needed on the way from thebinn to the pods.
Great location, good breakfast
Welcome from the staff was mixed: some good, others less so (asking for payment for a surprise welcome gift arranged for someone while they are standing there to check in!!)
It was good to have pool/sauna/steam room available after a day's walking.
The location was very good for getting out and about.
Nothing really - we'd be happy to rebook and recommend.
We found the food very good and the staff were very helpful and polite. Both the evening meal and breakfast matched our expectations. There was plenty of choice and everything was served hot. We were moved to another room as the heating was not working in the original room, this was not a problem for the hotel.
The bottom "step" which is not a step is carpeted and this was confusing. The dining room was a little cold when we arrived and fortunately a heater was quickly switched on. We felt the wine was overpriced.
Lovely location and the food was really good. Room was beautiful and we had a lovely relaxing afternoon having lunch and then going in the spa.
Average stay and average hotel needs a good refurb.
Experience could have been better.
Lovely location
Would have loved a more traditional pub area
The staff were friendly and the food was nice. The room was comfortable. Good selection at breakfast and served quickly.
Quite unorganised at the spa, we didn’t know what was happening, we got put in the room of relaxation with no further direction. The room of relaxation was so cold I had to use my coat as a blanket, other users also commented on this. I did try to turn on the radiator but it didn’t do anything. We had booked a treatment and wanted to use the pool facilities also, we were told we couldn’t have a robe or flip flops as we hadn’t booked a spa day, however we were staying at gamekeepers inn and nothing was provided for us which we didn’t find acceptable to be honest, there wasn’t even a gown in the room. The floor in the ladies changing rooms was disgusting and filthy and I had to walk on it barefoot. We don’t feel the experience was worth the money and we are glad we didn’t waste the money on a spa day, it isn’t really a place for a proper relaxing spa day! We haven’t had the best experience and have decided we definitely won’t be back to the spa.
There wasn’t much privacy at the back of our room as there was a little road and people are walking past, we had to keep the curtain closed a lot as people could see right into your room. Also there is no soundproofing in the rooms at all, next door to us there was a baby screaming most of the night and morning it actually felt like it was in the room with us, so we had an appalling nights sleep and were up half of the night!
The room - (deluxe king) very clean, superb walk in shower, nice and warm, private outdoor sitting area. Nice Bar and restaurant.
Nothing to not like.
Beautiful, peaceful quiet location. Pod was clean and well designed. I recommend the Threshfield Quarry walk near the site! The spa facilities were nice with a large pool. The staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly throughout.
Clean and well laid out
Bed wasn’t comfy and pillows are very soft
Excellent location and beautifully presented.
