We highly recommend this incredible property. You will never forget it❤️
Pros:

The location perfect! Easy walk into the township. 24hr reception. The Polarrig is quirky, historical and the living areas are SO comfy! Tea & coffee always available. Staff wonderful! Shared bathrooms never a problem as there are so many. Loved every minute of our stay♥️❤️♥️

Cons:

Nothing. We knew the size of our twin room prior to booking so no surprise 😁

Pros:

The location and the rustic and historic design of the buildings and the friendly atmosohere. The opportunity to prepare own food in the selv-service kitchen.

Charming authentic Svalbard, reasonable value, prepare to be taking your shoes on and off constantly just to get around
Pros:

A hotel full of personality, the most authentic “Svalbard” accommodation in town according to locals, a good restaurant/breakfast, old mining memorabilia/decor and a cosy interior

Cons:

The bed was uncomfortable, the mattress topper was creased or something which made for a difficult sleep, also reception/lounge/kitchen is technically in a separate building from the restaurant and a portion of the rooms so if you want to cook something or get breakfast in the morning you’ll often need to put on your shoes and dress for cold to walk 10 metres outside to reach the other door, they should consider building a sheltered passage between the two buildings so you don’t need to go outside just to get breakfast or use the lounge.

A marvellous place..
Pros:

Beautiful hotel, a different one, feel like home.
I only spent one night, but the atmsphere was wonderful.
Really like the living room, the breakfast and we saw a white fox.

Ihr bucht eine Abendteuer Reise? Dann ist dieses Hotel der passende Schlüssel um es abzurunden
Pros:

Das Personal war zu jeder Zeit super freundlich und zuvorkommend.
Egal ob beim Frühstück, oder Abendessen war alles super. JEDER der "Luxus Urlaub" erwartet, sollte hier nicht buchen.

Die Anlage ist "urig"und speziell auf ihre weise (positiv!!). Es gibt viele schöne Ecken zum sitzen und zum genießen.
Hier kann die Zeit und die Hektiv einfach einmal stehen bleiben.

Cons:

Die Betten waren leider nicht die bequemsten aber ok für zwei Nächte.

If you want vibes, lights and coziness, this is your place
Pros:

I loved that its created to be magical for everyone that arrives. The twinkly lights, the vibe indoors, the music, the big smiles from the staff, the reception can book tours for you(very convenient).

Cons:

I have nothing to say here as i wanted to experience what they had to offer. A true coal minor’s cabin. And it was amazing.

Frokosten var super. Beliggenheten. Sengene var gode. Atmosfæren på riggen er unik. Bra antall fellesbad.

Cons:

Litt vel trange rom for 2 personer. Interiøret på rommene kunne vært mer praktisk. Et ekstra sett stikkontakter på rommet.
