Some of the other people staying weren’t very friendly

wallpaper was peeling, obvious signs of damp in the room, shower and bathroom were mouldy, shower tap didn’t go cold, air felt THICK and the room was super hot to the point it was more bearable to be outside than in there, i’d put this down to lack of airflow and with it being an older building obviously it’s gonna have a bit of wear and tear i guess but it gets to a point… we had to go and buy a fan to try and cool the place down, hallway smelt of cigarettes and weed most of the time, i personally wasn’t too fussed about it amongst everything else, but they claim to have a no smoking policy where you’d be kicked out if you were.

bed smelt funky, and upon stripping the bedding when i left, i saw what looked like pee (in the best case scenario) stains on the quilt, obviously, some stains will stick even if washed, so, could be that, but it still smelt funky.

upon arriving we found some water bottles behind a cabinet, and under the bed was a bunch of sweet wrappers, nicotine pouch tins and other things, all around just felt a bit musty in there. still, could be worse i suppose…

the entire check in is completely unstaffed, feels convenient at first i won’t lie, however, was up for the majority of the night because i felt like anybody with a code could get into the room, generally felt a bit unsafe with that.

HOWEVER, we did get a free soap, some tea bags, and 2 biscuits, very sweet of them to do that, although the kettle didn’t quite reach so maybe put it on the chair or something, really not that much of an issue if you don’t make one out of it. we also got 2 towels, however one had a stain of some sort on it (again, it’s a white towel, maybe it was a bit of a stubborn stain, i tried to not let it bother me)


to conclude, if you’re after a cheap hotel that’s in relatively close distance and don’t much care about anything else, it’s fine, i suppose. although i personally wouldn’t stay here again, some people might, it’s about perspective i guess

No fan or hair dryer as advertised. Lots of hairs from previous guests in the shower. Water pressure low because the shower head was leaking where it connected to the lead. Not clean by the toilet.
