Good stay
Pros:

Good breakfast and nice setting staff were friendly

Cons:

Pricey for minibar and food/drink by the pool. Was planning on doing laundry service aswell but was overpriced

Ruhiges, gediegenes und schön gelegenes Historisches Hotel ohne Rambazamba
Pros:

Sehr schönes, inmitten eines prächtigen Privatparks gelegenes Hotel mit historischer Bausubstanz, die insbesondere ältere britische Touristen anzieht. Geräumige Standartzimmer, ausgezeichnete Küche und ein herrliches und vielfältiges Frühstücksbuffet. Das Personal ist sehr professionell und herzlich. Grosser und schön angelegter Pool.

Cons:

Die Verstauungsmöglichkeiten für die Kleider sind im Standartzimmer sehr beschränkt und das nicht mehr zeitgemässe Bad für ein Fünfsternhotel zu klein. Leider verfügt das Hauptrestaurant sowie das exklusive Restaurant im Manor House über keinen Aussenbereich, so dass das Frühstück und Nachtessen auch bei schönstem und heissem Wetter drinnen eingenommen werden muss. Bei Vollbelegung erweist sich das Restaurant als zu klein, weshalb die Gäste beim Frühstück teilweise lange Wartezeiten in Kauf nehmen müssen, bis sie einen freien Tisch erhalten.

Das Shuttleangebot nach Funchal ist relativ mager, indem nur ca. alle zwei Stunden ein Kleinbus fährt, der jeweils rasch ausgebucht ist und am Wochenende nicht fährt. Somit muss trotz Shuttle oftmals ein Taxi gebucht werden.

Un soggiorno perfetto da vero " Boutique hotel" da 5 stelle

Buffet di prima colazione molto completo e di qualita' . Piscina ampia , lettini sufficienti per tutti gli ospiti , ottimo servizio bar ( ti portano quanto ordinato al lettino ) :Anche in piscina servizio di classe con camerieri professionali e molto cortesi . Vista splendida su Funchal - Ottimo menu di mezza pensione ( alta qualita ) con porzioni abbondanti e elegante presentazione del piatto servito . Cena con piano bar tre gioni alla settimana . Camerieri premurosi e molto professionali . Ottimo rapporto qualita prezzo . Navetta per il centro citta quattro volte al giorno . Servizio esemplare alla reception . Grande parking privato e gratuito . Possibilita di usufruire di un " Ristorante a la carte " molto elegante . Grande giardino botanico . Camere ampie con mobilio da vero boutique hotel . Acqua minerale gratuita ogni giorno in camera . In riassunto : un hotel 5 stelle come te lo aspetti .

sehr zu empfehlen für einen entspannten Urlaub am Stadtrand von Funchal

Fantastisch verblijf op een rustige idyllische plaats
Pros:

Zeer mooi charmant hotel met oud Britse stijl, uitgebreid en zeer lekker ontbijt, zeer goede locatie (dichtbij bushalte, shuttlebus naar het centrum en gratis parkeergelegenheid voor de auto), mooi zwembad en leuke (beperkte) gymruimte met ook jacuzzi en sauna. Er is een zeer beleefde doch aangename sfeer en je wordt in de watten gelegd (verse handdoeken aan het zwembad, onmiddellijk koffie en afruimen bij het ontbijt, blaadjes worden weggeblazen op de paden!). Aan de receptie is er de mogelijkheid om verschillende toers te boeken. Dit verblijf heeft alles om van Madeira een topbelevenis te maken!
