Good place for one night in Talpe Beach
Pros:

The view from the hotel is great: directly on the sea, with a private access by low tide. 5min walk and you can swim with big turtles with the help of locals. Room size is good, English breakfast was generous and the staff very nice and supportive to deal and communicate with (they even allowed us to extend our stay by 2 hours after checkout).

Cons:

It's a very basic hotel, with rooms required some improvement/refreshment and maintenance, as well as better wifi connectivity. The location on the sea is great, but you have nothing else around and you will need a car for everything (except to the natural swimming pool). Good place for one night, but would not extend above this.

Pros:

Lovely family, good breakfast. Exceptional coral beach, sandy beach is also easily accessible. Comfy rooms. Away from the touristy part of Ulawatuna but easily accessible to town and restaurants.

Die natürlichen Schwimmbecken vor dem Haus und die großen Schildkröten, fantastisch.
Pros:

Sehr gute Lage, direkt am Strand. Natürliche Wasserbecken vor dem Haus. 600 Meter weiter , Schildröten hautnah.
Sehr freundliches Personal. Gutes Frühstück. Die Zimmer sind Basic, mit Meeresblick und Balkon. Es gibt nur 5 Zimmer . Familienbetrieb. Gutes Internet.

Cons:

Aufgrund von Feiertagen war de Strand von morgens bis abends sehr voll. Auf dem Nachbargrundstück kamen die Buse reihenweise an. Dafür konnten unsere Gastgeber nichts.

Mooie locatie en fijne kamers.
Pros:

Je zit echt aan het strand. De zee was wel vrij ruig met sterke stroming toen wij er waren. Elke ochtend een zeer uitgebreid ontbijt. De familie doet er alles aan om je te helpen.

Pros:

Heel fijne B&B met heel vriendelijke gastvrouw. Prachtige lokatie aan het strand met mooie uitzichten. De kamer was geheel naar wens, lekkere bedden, goede airco, mooie badkamer

Pros:

complimentary tuk tuk transportation from the location to the train station. The view from the room balcony was fantastic, although being partially obscured by some coconut trees; you could see and enjoy the beauty of the ocean. When asked to organize lunch, they did so swiftly, and the portion was more than adequate for three persons.

Beautiful two days in Talpe
Pros:

The location is truly magical! From your balcony, it feels like you can jump right into the water, and the view is simply breathtaking. I've never seen anything quite like it. The natural pools are a unique experience and well worth seeing. And to top it off, just around the corner, you can easily meet a turtle that swims up to you and munches on seaweed. It's a truly unforgettable experience!

Cons:

The distance from the nearby towns is a lot. But we were aware of this. Breakfast should be improved. It wasn’t that amazing sorry 🥹

Pros:

We had a great 4 days in Asa Bay Beach.
Extremely friendly staff. It was very clean. The view is breathtaking. Every morning turtles come to the beach and we swam with them, it was an amazing experience. Here we ate the most delicious Kottu in Sri Lanka. Thanks for the stay Asa Bay Beach!

Amazing view from balcony
Most friendly, welcoming, helpful family members owning the hotel
Swimming is very good in morning hours when sea is more calm and water is still clean. Swimming is safe due to natural coral wall protection in the sea.

Cons:

Smell in bathroom.
No restaurants in vicinity (food delivery from their own restaurant -which is not on location- is possible, but taste of food we order once was not really good).
Parties in nearby private villas with loud music cause serious problems to this hotel, altough owners and staff do everything possible to intervene in such cases.
Sea is pretty rough and dirty in afternoon.
