Everything was great
Lovely owners & staff.
Great restaurant meal .
Cosy traditional bar.
Location staff hospitality and food were absolutely fantastic and you can see that it’s a work in progress pub and they’re doing a great job with it.
We know that this pub is a work in progress and understand there’s stuff still to do.
Bedroom was a bit dated and small, the bed wasn’t that comfortable, mattress felt like it was past its best, there wasn’t any hangers or hooks to hang our wet clothes or dry clothes in the wardrobe, heating wasn’t brilliant throughout the afternoon/evening
It was lovely to stay somewhere with character and in lovely surroundings. The staff (owners?) were really friendly and helpful, the room was great and the restaurant's menu was varied and the food delicious. We'd definitely come back.
Schoon, heerlijke bedden, ontbijt was super en het diner echt overheerlijk !
Eigelijk niks, misschien zeer gehorig zo boven de pub maar ach..
Very good food. Food was excellent.
Room was tired but clean
Very friendly staff
Room very cold
Great food and very welcoming staff at a typical English country pub
Fruit with breakfast
Great food, lovely views, personal attention, amazing bath
The location was nice, and the history of the building was very interesting. The staff were friendly, and the breakfast was delicious.
I just felt the room was tired and not very clean. The bedding was musty, and being over the bar you can hear every word. The bar shut at 10pm but obviously the staff stayed on for another hour or so to square the place away, so if you're after an early night that might bother you.
Breakfast was good and the server was friendly.
We were not told how to get back into the building when we checked in. We arrived back at 11.30pm and the building was in darkness. We were locked out. We eventually found the back entrance in the dark but could not get in. It took half an hour of banging against windows and doors in the freezing cold (with a child in toe) before someone stuck their head out of a window to ask us what we wanted. It turned out that they had also given us the wrong keys so we had no access to the building and our room. No apology extended at the time. No acknowledgement of this in the morning either until we brought it up when we checked out. It was completely unacceptable and disappointing.
The food was good
No heating
Loose electric socket
Shower wouldn't stay up
Needs a coat of paint
Internet intermittent
The staff were so welcoming you could not fault them
Great Breakfast, fantastic location. Really lovely village pub. look forward to staying again
