Very pleasant staff
No bar food available on my second night
The hotel is looking pretty tired, and whilst the location isn't bad, more could be made of it. The outside bar (at the front) overlooking the car park and a busy road isn't what you'd expect.
The hotel needs to be brightened up, it is looking very dated.
So much history here...an excellent guest information booklet available in the rooms about EVERYTHING around + the Story of the historic Eccles Hotel...
Unforgettable view over the Bay during the breakfast time...
Single room had a double bed! The slippers, the robes, the luxury irish brand toiletries...
Fantastic SPA team, good selection of treatments, special thanks to Aoife!
Hotel has its own herb-garden - got a fresh branch into my cocktail from there!
Homemade magic bread and fantastic little cheese scones, so very crumble !!!
Breakfast is available from 8am - would recommend an earlier time, as there is so much of beauty to discover around this region... I was lucky, they allowed me in even 10min earlier, when I showed up, hihii!
Maybe a bicycle rental would be nice? but the roads around are narrow and might be a bit dangerous...
The hotel was in walking distance of the village. The hotel has a nice view and the staff were friendly. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
The hotel was very dated, the furniture and carpets were very tired looking. Our room was very far away, with many winding corridors and stairs to navigate. The room had an unpleasant view of untidy raised beds and a polytunnel. The breakfast was poor, received raw poached eggs.
Had the forest facing room which was quite relaxing setting. Although it would have been great to see the sea, we could easily view this from the bar and restaurant. Food was very tasty, we dined there for dinner and breakfast the next morning. Parking was super easy and bar was very relaxing. Had a really lovely romantic after dinner walk along the seafront and to the nearby woodland walk which was great. Was cool to read the history of the hotel and some famous figures that stayed there! It even features in a guide from 1880s of a traveller going around Ireland!
Only thing was it was a little pricey but it was a great stay, wish we could have stayed longer.
breakfast was great,
great view and location.
I find rooms get a little expensive in summer.
Beautiful location
Breakfast was ok, I would have rated higher if there was fresh orange juice and more coffee choices
