Old world charm and courtesy are still alive here
Pros:

This hotel has got it right. It’s a perfect balance of old and new world. There are no pretensions and the staff are very warm friendly and efficient. Shout out to Lucy in the restaurant especially. Despite being a large enough hotel it has a very homely atmosphere Food and service is excellent

Very impressive and I hope to stay at the hotel again when in the area.
Pros:

First impression was of cleanliness and warmth. The receptionist was genuinely friendly and helpful. The hotel is well maintained with an old style charm. The bedroom was spotlessly clean. Tasty breakfast with a good choice.

Cons:

I had a meal elsewhere prior to arrival and at tea time needed just tea and a sandwich or a scone but was unable to get that.

An OK hotel but way past its best, for the price.
Pros:

The hotel is looking pretty tired, and whilst the location isn't bad, more could be made of it. The outside bar (at the front) overlooking the car park and a busy road isn't what you'd expect.

Cons:

The hotel needs to be brightened up, it is looking very dated.
