Pros:

I liked the location plus the staff were nice. The bedroom was nice too. There was plenty parking.

Cons:

I didn't like that we had to book in for breakfast in advance.
Plus, the outdoor hot tub was out of action when we got there-the Saturday of the August bank holiday weekend, and I wasn't notified of this in advance, nor was it on the website. Only got told when I enquired about it after checking in. Had chosen the hotel because of the hot tub amenity, so we were disappointed, not to be able to use it. The alternative as per the receptionist was for us to use the other facilities of the spa but that closed at 6 pm on Saturday and didn't open till 10 am on Sunday, which didn't suit us. Plus a couples massage wasn't possible.
As well as that, the vegetarian options for lunch were limited, and the price for the night was too expensive, given that not all the facilities were available.

Disappointing experience
Pros:

The location was good. Close to ferry for Garnish island and the town.

Cons:

The bedrooms were smal.l reception staff was not overly friendly. you have to pay extra to use the spa facilities 15 euro for half an hour .considering we spent 120 euro each on our accommodation.very poor. I expected this to be included . At breakfast you made your own tea and coffee .very poor .the carpets in the main area were stained . the bar had no rosé wine & was small. Food wasn't good value for money.

Nice visit but we wouldn't return
Pros:

The staff were very polite and helpful, they seemed to lack hospitality training which you would expect from a 4 star hotel.

Cons:

The reception was beautiful and quaint and very old world-ly. It was immaculately clean. There was a small office just at the back of the reception and there was a staff member literally shouting whilst on the phone. It was so off-putting and it destroyed the whole atmosphere. This staff member was on numerous occasions roaring on the phone, quoting prices and discussing bookings. It was just a ridiculous scenario.

I would stay again our room overlooking the front bay..leisurely breakfasts with complimentary newspapers
Pros:

Excellent location , bed room very comfortable young staff attentive and friendly.

Cons:

For the three times we ate there the staff remove plates before everyone has finished eating …more acceptable for table of two but even cleared main course dishes for dinner for seven people

Old world vibe
Pros:

Great location and spa is a lovely setting. The staff was lovely very helpful and it had stunning views.

Cons:

Very dated needs a little bit of renovation and rooms to the back of the hotel overlooking a yard and it's not very well kept.. found it expensive but it was a busy time this weekend for rowing and swim so presume that's why the price was high .

Amazing.. the staff were lovely. The bar food was top-notch. Thank you for such a memorable stay.

As the weather had been very exceptionally warm there should have been a sheet available in the room to act as a blanket. There was only a duvet and a dressing gown. The duvet was way too hot so I used the dressing gown as a blanket.
