Friendly & comfortable place to stay
Pros:

It was quirky with lots of different rooms. Our room was very comfortable. It had a lovely garden & the staff & owner were very friendly & the food was excellent.

Fantastic, one of the nicest places to eat and stay in the area
Pros:

The Lion is a fantastic traditional Cotswolds pub - restaurant that also has a few lovely rooms to let.
The staff led by Mark the owner are fantastic, the food is amazing and the rooms are super comfortable and beautifully decorated.
We would highly recommend staying here, very close to Stratford Upon Avon.
Second time we have stayed for family a fa,ily party in the amazing function room set in the rear gardens.
Mark has built the pub up to this super high standard over several years and it is a credit to his hard work and great company that mean we will always use The Lion when we are in the area

The Lion is a great place to stay.
Pros:

Beautiful location, bags of character and peaceful sleeps.
Loved the beer garden.

Cons:

I would have liked to stay longer and explore the area more. There was nothing I didn't like.

The lion was a lovely old pub and B B staff were helpful andvery friendly continental breakfast and we had a lovely dinner would definitely go back again The landlord gave us information about the 600 year building which was very interesting

There is nothinng to dislike about the place whatsoever. The room was cosy and comfortable. The host Mark was very helpful and attentative, the food was great and the staff were very freindly. Will definately be staying there again

Pros:

Excellent welcome and service. Breakfast very good continental choice.

Cons:

We thought the food portions were too large and we hate wasting food but we simply couldn't eat a lot of the dinners.

We like the hosts , the rooms, the location,everything

Cons:

Would like a little menu of what's on offer for the continental breakfast as we didn't realise that there were other things on offer until we overheard another table requesting items. Saying that the bacon butty were top notch and on the 2nd morning we had something different when we knew we could. Perfect!

A cracking place on the edge of the Cotswolds 😃
Pros:

This is such a friendly place & the ideal location for exploring the Cotswolds. We got to know Steve really well, which endured plenty of great banter 😃
The rooms are really comfortable & clean, provided with tea/coffee facilities & a really nice touch of a little tin of small biscuits...nice. Apart from the bar having quality beers (the Butty Batch was exceptional !!) , the best bit for us was the food, especially the pies 🥧, which are to die for. Ultimately, they have an amazing head chef & supporting kitchen team.
Thanks guys.

Cons:

Although we had a nice breakfast each morning, it was a little disappointing not to be offered a full range, like in other hotels.

If the Mrs is happy, it's a win win win
Pros:

It is quiet, local and definitely English, just what you would expect in England, which is disappearing fast.
We chose the excellent bacon butty for Breakfast. Superb host nothing too much trouble in a beautifull village. All the staff were excellent too

Cons:

I didn't like the fact i couldn't drink more of the two real ales they had on offer!

Eine sehr gemütliche Unterkunft, tolle Lage um einen Teil der Cotswolds zu erkunden. Außergewöhnlich freundlicher und sympathischer Gastgeber, leckeres Abendessen!

Pros:

The room was very small, however, quite comfortable. Unfortunately there was quite a large stain on the bedroom carpet.
The bathroom was very clean.

Cons:

The 'continental breakfast' consisted of a selection of corn flakes, weetabix or muesli. There was no fruit or yogurt available. It would have been nice to have had an alternative option.
The bacon sandwich was nice.

Lovely pub with great staff, fantastic evening had by all.
Pros:

We stayed for a private party at the venue.
Everything was well organised, staff went above and beyond to help organise the party, the buffet was excellent with plenty of food.
The rooms were clean and comfortable and breakfast generous and delicious with great coffee.

Cons:

Nothing.
