Location, architecture, great host
Small shower, aircon keeps turning off every 20 minutes, hot upstairs and very narrow small wobbly staircase
Al lado del centro histórico pero también cerca de una zona menos turística, por lo que bajabas a tomar algo y conseguías precios locales.
No había nada malo
The location is exceptional. It is only a few blocks from the Duomo and within easy walking distance of most other places you might want to visit. The owner is very nice and tried to accommodate anything we needed. The space was exceptionally clean and well kept. The air conditioning worked extremely well, even in the hot weather we had during our visit.
The shower is small (as expected for an apartment in this area), but it works well and is not a big issue. Do not let this stop you from choosing this space!
Our host was superb! Also, the location was fantastic!
This apartment is located in a quiet residential road less than a ten-minute walk to the Piazza del Duomo. If you are coming from Florence airport, take the T2 tram from the airport to the San Marco University stop and the apartment is about a five-minute walk from there. Fael, the owner/host, is very friendly and emailed me shortly after I made my booking with some useful information about places to go in Florence. He lives near to the apartment and was able to meet us outside the building when we arrived to hand over the keys and show us the facilities (plus he kindly carried our large suitcase up the stairs!). The apartment is in very good order throughout and the small fridge in the living room is handy. There is a small kitchen (with, among other things, a capsule coffee machine) which is shared by the Venus and two other apartments.
There is little the owner is able to do about any of the points I am about to note but they are things that potential guests may appreciate knowing. The building is very old and there are a lot of steps to walk up to get to the apartment and no elevator. It was fine for us but could be hard going for anybody with mobility problems. The shower cubicle is quite small which could be problematic for a larger person. The spiral staircase up to the mezzanine on which the main bed is located is quite tight (and difficult to negotiate should you need to visit the toilet during the night without turning the lights on) and there is a low beam crossing the mezzanine which you need to be mindful of to avoid bumping your head when you want to get to the bed. None of these points detracted from our stay, but they might be useful to know about in advance.
Loft bed was very comfortable. Apartment was very quiet for waking up late. Due to train delays- we arrived later than expected. When there was no open store for water, host provided bottles of cold water from his own restaurant. This was very helpful after the long train trip.
Confusion with arrival and entrance to the unit, but hosts worked quickly to rectify. Additional
Bedding was needed for the Second bed. Again the host worked quickly to resolve however there was much conversation about the mix up. Be very clear is second bed will be in use.
Clean, good location, property owner
Beautifully decorated home. Our host saved our trip! His kindness and wonderful tour of the Uffizi gallery made our last stop in Italy one to remember. Thank you so much!
Nothing
Excellent apartment at the heart of the city. Modern, in excellent condition, with a touch of unhidden stones, equipped with all you need. Quiet street with very little noise. Well sound-proofed. Easily accessible, stairs are not that high. Fael is a great host, very attentive and nice!
Bed is very comfortable. Cosy bedroom on the 2nd floor.

The location was perfect! Most things were within walking distance. The host, Fael, is a superb human being. He took us tot he Uffizi gallery, as a history and tour guide, you couldn’t help but feel his passion about the history of Italy. He was a good resource for us, recommending restaurants and all.
Just minor things, getting a taxi from the apartment was incredibly difficult on the day we left. Every cab company we called said they had no taxi. We ended up calling a Uber , stupidly expensive and the driver wasn’t too happy we called a van … well we got what Uber gave us! Also, the apartment is on the second floor and as an old building, there are no lifts, so bear that in mind. We had lots a few suitcases as we just concluded a retreat program, lugging them up two flights of stairs was good exercise for us. Staircase in the apartment is narrow and spiral… so take extra care. There really isn’t anything the owner can do about the lack of lift but his you have mobility issues, you might want to reconsider your options.
Overall, we really loved it.
amazing location and very friendly owner. 100% recommend
